摘要： A system and method for facilitating allocating or otherwise pairing computing resources, such as during provisioning of resources for a customer order for cloud services. The example method includes applying a first header tag to a first resource, wherein the first header tag indicates a type of the first resource; and associating a first sub-tag with the first header tag, wherein the first sub-tag includes an attribute tag. In a more specific embodiment, tagged resources include attribute tags and constraint tags. Tags of candidate resource pairs are then cross-compared to determine a match. An example provisioning method includes; checking a condition specified for using a resource, wherein the condition uses the tag; and performing provisioning in accordance with the result of the checking. The condition, e.g., specified via a constraint tag, may include a “must have” requirement(s) and/or “must not have” requirement(s), pertaining to tags of other resources.

The SDI instance can intelligently allocate resources of a rack to one or more virtual machines as part of provisioning a requested service. The SDI instance can use machine-learning techniques to evaluate historical data associated with a requested service. The machine-learning techniques can be used to generate one or more models that simulate the possible configurations of sizes for virtual machines for a particular service. The one or more models can be accessed at runtime to fit virtual machines of a requested service into servers of a rack in a manner that minimizes unused resources with multi-dimensional constraints.

The method includes storing, by a cloud infrastructure system including computing devices, notification templates. Each of the notification templates are associated with a role. Further, the method includes combining the first template and the second template to generate a third template, based on the third template, generating a notification. The SDI request engine can perform tracking, management and provisioning of services subscribed to by users of a computer infrastructure system. The SDI request engine can be deployed to process large volumes of provisioning requests and deliver time critical applications for customers. The SDI request engine can translate each request into a list of tasks of various sizes based on the requirement and configuration of the request, and store each task in a queue. In certain embodiments, the SDI request engine may evaluate a dynamic weight associated with each task to prioritize the processing of tasks, which may improve the overall throughput of request processing.
