摘要： A substance for preparation of a beverage contained in a sealed flexible sachet is extracted with a device which provides a chamber formed by two members configured so that they each form a cavity which is substantially one-half of the chamber and so that when brought and fastened together, they form the chamber containing the sachet and provide for penetrating the sachet for subsequent injection of water for extraction of the substance. One member has a base which has a surface from which raised portions project and holes for flow of extract therethrough, and this member and the sachet are configured so that upon placing the sachet on the member, one sachet sheet is supported by the raised portions and a sealed peripheral sachet edge extends onto a rim of the member. Upon bringing and fastening the two members together, the members grip the sachet edge for fluid-tight sealing and shape the sachet uniformly and confine the substance within the sachet within the cavities, and the sachet is penetrated. After sealing, water is injected into the sachet under pressure to force the sachet sheet in contact with the raised portions against the portions so that this sheet first is deformed at multiple locations by the raised portions before being torn so that the substance is wetted and then, the sheet is deformed further and torn at multiple locations by the raised portions for flow of extract from the sachet to and through the base holes.

摘要： A substance for preparation of a beverage contained in a sealed flexible sachet is extracted with a device which has two members which are configured to each form a cavity which is substantially one-half of a chamber so that upon being tightened together for holding the sachet for extraction of the substance, the sachet is provided with a desired shape and is perforated to enable injection of water for extraction of the substance. Upon perforation, water is injected which deforms a surface against raised portions of one of the members and then tears the sachet to allow flow of beverage from the sachet through holes of the member containing the raised portions.

摘要： An apparatus for extracting a substance contained in a sachet for preparation of a beverage has a first member having raised and hollow portions for forming a flow zone and a second member for cooperating with the first member to form a chamber to contain the sachet for extraction of the substance and to grip the edge of the sachet to ensure fluid-tightness upon being tightened, each member being configured for forming substantially half of the chamber for containing and ensuring a specific sachet shape. In one embodiment, the second member has provision for perforating an upper surface of a sachet for introducing water into the sachet. In another embodiment, the first member has an injector member which projects beyond the raised portions for perforating and introducing water into the sachet. The first and second members may be mounted on a chassis so that the members are mounted about an axis so that upon movement about the axis, the members are brought together so that they form the chamber, and a rim of the first member and an edge of the second member cooperate for gripping an edge of a sachet.

摘要： A powdered substance, which is suitable for preparation of a beverage with an extraction fluid, is extracted for preparation of a beverage. The substance which is compacted in a form of a cake, is contained within a sachet between two sachet sheets which, prior to extraction of the substance, protect the substance against oxygen and water vapor and which extend to sealed edges for containing the substance within the sheets prior to and during extraction. In effecting extraction, one sheet is perforated to provide at least one opening for injection of extraction fluid, and extraction fluid is injected under pressure into the sachet for contacting and deforming the compacted substance cake and for extracting the substance in the sachet, and the other sheet is deformed against a surface having portions forming, upon deformation of the second sheet, local breakages in that sheet for opening that sheet for flow of extracted beverage substance. The cake and sheets advantageously are configured so that there is free space between at least one of the cake surfaces and one sheet for allowing the substance to expand between the sheets, and a cake surface may have a concave shape or may have channel impressions therein and be positioned adjacent the at least one opening for injection of extraction fluid.

摘要： A powdered substance, which is suitable for preparation of a beverage with an extraction fluid and which is compacted in a form of a cake, is extracted for preparation of a beverage. The compacted substance cake is contained within a sachet between two sachet sheets which, prior to extraction of the substance, protect the substance against oxygen and water vapor and which extend to sealed edges for containing the substance within the sheets prior to and during extraction. In effecting extraction, one sheet is perforated first to provide at least one opening for injection of extraction fluid, and extraction fluid is injected under pressure into the sachet for contacting the substance and for extracting the substance in the sachet, and the other sheet advantageously is deformed against a surface having portions forming, upon deformation of the second sheet, local breakages in that sheet for opening that sheet for flow of extracted beverage substance. The cake and sheets advantageously are configured so that there is free space between at least one of the cake surfaces and one sheet for allowing the substance to expand between the sheets, and the cake surface positioned adjacent the sheet which is opened for injection of extraction fluid may have a concave shape or may have channel impressions therein.

The wall extends from the base to form a cup shape which is substantially a frustum shape, the rim extends from the wall and has a diameter greater than the base and the cover is welded to the rim to contain the substance in the cartridge. The base further has sheared areas thinned, with respect to a base remainder, which extend to define arrangements which are spiral, substantially sinusoidal portions, radial segments and concentric arcs of a circle and which, along a line of each sheared area to define thickness, have a thickness which varies along the line, the sheared areas providing, upon extraction of the substance in the cartridge under pressure, openings through the base for filtering and obtaining the beverage.
