    • The present disclosure relates to an optical module comprising a carrier substrate including first electrical connection terminals on a first surface and second electrical connection terminals on a second surface electrically connected to the first electrical connection terminals. The second electrical connection terminals are connectable to a circuit carrier. The optical module further comprises an optically transparent carrier including first electrical connection terminals, and an optical element electrically connected to the optically transparent carrier. The optically transparent carrier is mechanically attached and electrically connected to the carrier substrate trough corresponding first electrical connection terminals, and the optical element is connected on a first surface of the optically transparent carrier and is adapted to emit/receive light through the optically transparent carrier to/from an optical coupling element facing a second surface of the optically transparent carrier opposing the first surface.

    • A reliability range is determined for a parameter of a component in a machine subjected to life reducing loads during operation, comprising the steps of: acquiring, for each of a plurality of load sessions, at least one parameter value for said component; generating a distribution pattern containing said parameter values for the plurality of load sessions; assigning a reliability range for the distribution pattern, wherein parameter values outside said reliability range are considered as being unrealistic; analyzing the parameter values outside the reliability range to determine which of said parameter values outside the reliability range are confirmed to be unrealistic; and adjusting the reliability range if a ratio between the confirmed unrealistic parameter values and the considered unrealistic parameter values is outside a further range being predetermined for the ratio.

    • A multimedia provider (100) generates, based on a request for a media channel from a user terminal (10), a session set-up description that is returned to the user terminal (10). The description defines, when processed in the terminal (10), a session window (20) that is displayed on a screen (12) of the terminal and comprises a region (22) for displaying media data of a requested channel and a channel region (24) comprising information on alternative available media channels. The description also defines a binding between user inputs (14) of the terminal (10) and identifiers of the alternative channels. The set-up description allows for a user-friendly channel switch by automatically transmitting a channel switch request to the multimedia provider (100) upon a triggering of the user input (14) that is associated with the identifier of the requested media channel. The description, thus, provides a visually appealing graphical interface and simultaneously allows for a user-friendly media channel switch.
