摘要： A graph creation unit of a chart display device desplays a plurality of charts (graphs), which is created by applying one graph-model form to a plurality of categories in a category list file, onto one graph destination sheet, by aligning and arranging the charts in the one graph destination sheet. The graph creation unit makes an economic statistics data control unit obtain a predetermined numerical values corresponding to the chart displayed on the graph destination sheet from an accumulated database or an economic statistics database server, and displays the obtained numerical values on the graph destination sheet in the form of individual chart.

All the acquired economic statistical data are recorded in a data recording unit (141). When a mouse cursor is set on a graph display icon associated with a specific character, image data that display a graph corresponding to the character information are acquired from the data recording unit (141) and the image data are subjected to a popping-up display on the display unit (13).

In a core add-in section for creating a graph and the like from numeric data, when a graph displayed in a graph display area is clicked, a graph information processing section acquires time information which is a parameter on the X-axis (horizontal axis) at the clicked position. A character information acquiring section searches an article database server storing article information (including title information and text information such as on a newspaper article) and acquires the article information including date/time information which is information on one of the attributes matches the acquired time information. The core add-in section displays the acquired article information on a display section. When a comment is created on the basis of the title information and text information included in the article information through selection using an operation section, the core add-in section displays the comment in a graph comment box or an explanation column in a graph area.

A display region forming section (14) of a share map display apparatus (1) has a first display region indicating the total amount of the handling records of specific financial product. Generally the whole part of the first display region is divided into generally rectangular second display regions whose areas are determined according to the information on the handling records in a specific field out of the specific financial product. Generally the whole part of each second display region is divided into generally rectangular third display regions whose areas are determined according to the handling records of the financial institution in the specific field, thus forming display regions of a hierarchical structure. The second display regions inside the first display region and the third display regions inside the second display region are arranged in order of area from the upper left corner down to the lower right corner. The ratio of the record of the current period to that of the previous period is indicated with a color tone. The image data is converted into data of HTML format and sent to a Web browser.
