摘要： The use of statistics collected during the parallel distributed execution of the tasks of a job may be used to optimize the performance of the task or similar recurring tasks. An execution plan for a job is initially generated, in which the execution plan includes tasks. Statistics regarding operations performed in the tasks are collected while the tasks are executed via parallel distributed execution. Another execution plan is then generated for another recurring job, in which the additional execution plan has at least one task in common with the execution plan for the job. The additional execution plan is subsequently optimized based at least on the statistics to produce an optimized execution plan.

In one embodiment, the subset of attributes for the coarser densities is a prefix of the set of multi-column density attributes. A number of tuples from each table that participate in the join may be estimated using densities of the subsets. The cardinality of the join can be estimated using the multi-column density for each table and the estimated number of tuples that participate in the join from each table.

摘要： Systems and methods that enable resolving deadlock cycles by victim selection based on cost and/or priority of strongly connected components in a static wait-for graph. As such, victims can be selected by iteratively estimating total deadlock resolution cost (based on cost of strongly connected components) for remaining deadlock participants, selecting the participant with the least estimated total cost as the next victim, and reducing the wait-for graph after removing the victim vertex. The victim selection algorithm can be a cost-based greedy algorithm, wherein during each victim selection iteration, a single optimal victim is selected based on estimated remaining cost.

In aspects, nodes that are part of the environment each independently create a local wait-for graph. Each node transforms its local wait-for graph to remove non-global transactions that do not need resources from multiple nodes. Each node then sends its transformed local wait-for graph to a global deadlock monitor. The global deadlock monitor combines the local wait-for graphs into a global wait-for graph. Phantom deadlocks are detected and removed from the global wait-for graph. The global deadlock monitor may then detect and resolve deadlocks that involve global transactions.

摘要： A paper binding device includes a base, two binding ring assemblies, a pull plate, and a bottom plate. By causing the pull plate to displace forwardly and rearwardly in the center of the base, positioning pins on the pull plate may displace in corresponding guide slots of the binding ring assemblies to force the binding ring assemblies to open or close. The pull plate further has stop pieces that may firmly secure the binding ring elements in position when the binding ring assemblies are in a closed state. The pull plate effectively eliminates the problem of small open angle with conventional paper binding devices which make it difficult to bind papers.
