    • The invention provides for installing encryption keys on a device not having any previous security credentials. An installation authority generates a security token to be used by the device for secure communications, and an installation credential for the device, and stores them in association with one another. A user of the device is provided with the installation credential, whereby the user inputs the installation credential into the device. The device utilizes the installation credential as a temporary security key, establishes a secure communication channel with the installation authority and requests provision of the security token. The installation authority provides the security token associated with the installation credential to the device over the established secure communication channel, and the device installs the security token, after which the device erases the installation credential from the device. The installation authority may also certify the security token and provide a certified token and a root verification certificate to the device.

    • Security against replay of a message by generating a list of unique message enabling codes (TATs) in a first device and storing the list in a second device. A message generated in the first device, which includes at least one of the unique message enabling codes from the list, is transmitted to the second device. The unique message enabling code of the received message is compared with the list stored in the second device to determine whether or not to enable processing of the message by the second device. If the unique message enabling code received with the message is included in the stored list, processing of the message is enabled and, the corresponding unique message enabling code is deleted from the stored list. If the unique message enabling code received with the message is not included in the stored list, processing of the message is rejected.

    • The present disclosure is directed to providing feedback information for a data stream being sent from a sending endpoint to a receiving endpoint. Both of the endpoints each have multiple physical interfaces connecting each endpoint to multiple networks, respectively. Information as feedback information is gathered regarding a data capacity throughput for each of the multiple physical interfaces connected to the endpoints. The feedback information is split and sent on one or more of the multiple physical interfaces from the receiving endpoint to the sending endpoint. A detection is made, based on the feedback information, whether one or more of the physical interfaces used to send the feedback information have degraded or failed. The feedback information is then reapportioned and sent from the receiving endpoint to the sending endpoint on one or more of the multiple physical interfaces which have not been detected as degraded or failed.

    • Providing display information to a client display device communicating with a plurality of servers is disclosed. Each of the servers provides a pre-assigned partial region of an overall image for display on the client display device. The client display device sends a request to each server via a multicast or broadcast communication channel. The request includes an identification of a plurality of partial regions of an image to be displayed on the client display device. The client display device receives image data from each server that is assigned to generate image data for partial regions identified by the client. Each of such servers asynchronously provides the image data for its pre-assigned partial region by sending the image data over one or more respective data communication channels to the client display device, in accordance with the request sent to each server via the communication channel.

    • Sending a single data stream from a sending endpoint to a receiving endpoint, wherein both of the sending endpoint and the receiving endpoint each have multiple physical interfaces connecting the sending and receiving endpoint to multiple networks, respectively, is provided. The single data stream is partitioned into multiple data packets. A physical interface is designated on the sending side and the receiving side in accordance with a data capacity throughput of each of the multiple physical interfaces. Different portions of the partitioned data packets are then sent over different ones of the multiple physical interfaces in accordance with the designation. The single data stream is then reconstructed by combining received partitioned data packets into the single data stream in accordance with header information. An acknowledgment is sent to the sending endpoint indicating an amount of data received on each multiple physical interface, including any changes in the data capacity throughput.
