    • A passenger seat airbag apparatus includes: an airbag which is housed in a folded state inside an instrument panel, and which inflates toward a passenger with a supply of gas during a frontal collision of a vehicle, and which has a vent hole that can be opened and closed; a tether whose first end is linked to a periphery of the vent hole in the airbag, and which closes the vent hole due to tension that is caused when the airbag inflates; an actuator which has a first hole that a second end of the tether is passed through, and which discontinues a linked state of the tether by cutting the tether if a predetermined condition is satisfied; and a protective member that is attached to the actuator so as to cover at least an edge portion of the first hole, and that is interposed between the edge portion and the tether.

    • A power transmission system for a vehicle includes a bowl-shaped peripheral wall for housing a power transmission member and a structure is provided to inhibit a circular standing wave mode that is generated in the bowl-shaped peripheral wall during power transmission. A resonance frequency [f] is increased in a surface of a bowl-shaped peripheral wall that is provided with a rib while the resonance frequency [f] is reduced in a surface of the bowl-shaped peripheral wall that is provided with a mass. It is possible to inhibit excitation of the circular standing wave mode generated in the bowl-shaped peripheral wall by changing the resonance frequency [f] between a peripheral wall surface of the housing that is provided with the rib and a peripheral wall surface thereof that is provided with the mass.

    • A control apparatus for a hydraulic excavator is capable of carrying out precise operations according to various kinds of classifications of works without requiring switching operations by an operator and management according to work records. The apparatus includes a classification of work discriminating section for recognizing a classification of work being carried out by the hydraulic excavator on the basis of data detected by sensors for detecting an operating amount of a lever for a boom and the like; sections for setting an operating mode of hydraulic pumps absorbing horse power and the like, according to the classification of work recognized; a hydraulic pump control section for controlling the hydraulic pumps according to the set operating mode; and an auto acceleration control section for making effective or invalid the auto acceleration control for controlling speed of an engine to a low speed when work stops. The apparatus further includes a device for readably storing the recognized classification of work in terms of a time series.
