The clamper member includes a disk supporting part for supporting a second side of the disk when the first side of the disk is centrally positioned by the first centering member, and second centering mechanism for centrally positioning the second side of the disk. The second centering mechanism cancels the centering operation with respect to the first side of the disk by the first centering mechanism, and centrally positions the second side of the disk by the attraction force when the first clamp mode is switched to the second clamp mode.

This disc device can facilitate the loading of the disc and protect the traverse portion.

When the cartridge 15 is inserted, the roller 4 is released by being pushed down by a switching arm by a switching lever 21 abutting an end surface of the cartridge 15, and the cartridge 15 is conveyed by being slid together with the slide member 25 with an engagement portion 26 being engaged with a groove on a side surface of the cartridge 15.
