摘要： In a liquid crystal display device, in each unit pixel which is formed as a region surrounded by scanning signal lines and date signal lines includes pixel electrode to which signals of the date signal line is electrically supplied through a thin film transistor and common electrode which are electrically connected with the common signal line, and common signal electrode is arranged to be superposed on the common signal line by way of an insulation layer, and the pixel electrode is electrically connected with a source electrode of the thin film transistor via a through hole which penetrates the insulation layer, and the common electrode is formed such that the common electrode extend in the inside of the unit pixel while covering the common signal line.

摘要： In a liquid crystal display device, in each unit pixel which is formed as a region surrounded by scanning signal lines and data signal lines, that is a pixel electrode to which signals of the data signal line are electrically supplied through a thin film transistor, and a common electrode is provided, which is electrically connected with a common signal line. The common electrode is arranged so as to be superposed on the common signal line by way of an insulation layer. The pixel electrode is electrically connected with a source electrode of the thin film transistor via a through hole which penetrates the insulation layer, and the common electrode is formed so as to extend in the inside of the unit pixel, while covering the common signal line.

摘要： The present invention provides an image display device which can obtain a sufficient writing time of video signals for one line and thus can perform display of high resolution or display of fast animation image. To achieve this object, the image display device is configured such that on a pixel-forming-side surface of a substrate, respective drain signal lines which extend in one direction and are arranged in parallel in another direction which crosses one direction are formed, the respective drain signal lines are separated at approximately center portions thereof, video signals are supplied to the drain signal lines at one side from a first video signal drive circuit and video signals are supplied to the drain signal lines at another side from a second video signal drive circuit, and separated end portions of respective drain signal lines constitute inspection terminals.

The liquid crystal display device has a brightness priority mode, which puts priority on bright screen display, and a response speed priority mode, which puts priority on response of a liquid crystal composition at a time of rewriting of a screen. In the response speed priority mode, a voltage to be applied to the second pixel electrode (238) differs from that in the brightness priority mode. With this, it is possible to realize high transmittance and low power consumption while responding to display of images requiring high response speed.
