    • A method for adjusting a gain level for a receiver of a first radio simultaneously operational with a transmitter of a second radio, comprising: determining a signal-to-noise ratio (“SNR”) value for signals received by the receiver from an access point (“AP”); and, when the first radio is associated with the AP and the transmitter is not transmitting, if the SNR value exceeds a SNR threshold, reducing the gain level for the receiver from an initial level and initiating transmission from the transmitter, otherwise maintaining the gain level for the receiver at the initial level and initiating transmission from the transmitter; wherein the SNR threshold is a SNR value above which beacon signals from the AP can be successfully received by the receiver.

    • The disclosure describes a system, method, device and server for establishing communication links in a network for a device. Communications may be carried from the device through an intermediary communication device to an access point in a wireless communication network. The method comprises: monitoring for a first trigger condition to seek the intermediary communication device, where the trigger condition is related to at least one of the communication device or the network; and upon detection of the first trigger condition identifying the intermediary communication device in the network, establishing a first connection between the communication device and the intermediary communication device and a second connection between the intermediary communication device and the access point to transmit communications from the communication device to the access point and transmitting a message from the communication device for the access device using the first connection and the second connection.

    • A mobile communication device is operative to perform a first communication function (e.g. inquiry or paging function for discovery) with use of a first radio frequency (RF) transceiver (e.g. BLUETOOTH transceiver) and a second communication function (e.g. voice telephony function) with use of a second RF transceiver (e.g. IEEE 802.11 transceiver). In response to identifying an indication to invoke the first communication function while the second communication function is being performed, the mobile device reserves selected timeslots of a wireless communication link with the first RF transceiver for establishing a synchronous link. The mobile device then causes data of the first communication function to be communicated, via the first RF transceiver, during remaining unreserved timeslots of the wireless communication link. The mobile device further causes data of the second communication function to be communicated, via the second RF transceiver, during the reserved timeslots of the synchronous link.

    • A mobile communication device includes a first radio frequency (RF) transceiver and a second RF transceiver. The first RF transceiver is operative for communications in accordance with a first radio protocol (e.g. BLUETOOTH®) using a first set of RF channels, and the second RF transceiver is operative for communications in accordance with a second radio protocol (e.g. IEEE 802.11) using a second set of RF channels. The mobile device identifies a list of noisy RF channels in the first set of RF channels, detected through operation of the first RF transceiver in accordance with the first radio protocol. The mobile device selects one of the RF channels from the second set based on the identified list of noisy RF channels. The mobile device then controls operation of the second RF transceiver in accordance with the second radio protocol for communicating data to another communication device over the selected RF channel of the second set.
