Furthermore, the voltage detecting apparatus does not halt whole functions. The first zener diode is connected to the first resistor R1, which divides a voltage stored with the capacitor as a flying capacitor into a detectable voltage at a microcomputer, in parallel. Furthermore, the voltage detecting apparatus prevents more than a zener voltage of the first zener diode from applying to the input of the microcomputer.

    • An insulation measuring apparatus having a measuring circuit including a first capacitor; a control unit that reads a voltage set on the first capacitor to decide an insulation state of a power supply, and control a path configuration of the measuring circuit; a switching section provided in a path located between the measuring circuit and the control unit; and a second capacitor provided between a ground and a path located between the switching section and the control unit. The control unit controls the path configuration of the measuring circuit, by turning ON the switching section to set a voltage corresponding to the voltage that is set on the first capacitor on the second capacitor, and then by turning OFF the switching section to read the voltage set on the second capacitor and to discharge an electric charge corresponding to the voltage being set on the first capacitor.

An apparatus of voltage measurement includes: a buffer circuit for separating a voltage between terminals of a capacitor or an equivalent voltage into a first voltage region corresponding to a full scale of an analog/digital (A/D) converter and a second voltage region corresponding to a voltage exceeding the full scale of the A/D converter when the voltage between the terminals of the capacitor charged or the equivalent voltage is higher than the full scale of the A/D converter; the A/D converters corresponding to the first and second voltage regions for converting the voltages of the respective regions from analog to digital values; and a voltage measurement device for evaluating a measured voltage value from the digital values and calculating the voltage of the voltage supply.
