摘要： A rolling bearing assembly and a crown shaped retainer, in which the rotating torque of the bearing assembly can be reduced with no limitation in use of the bearing assembly and with no need to modify the grease and the sealing member are provided. The rolling bearing assembly includes a plurality of balls interposed between inner and outer rings, and a retainer for retaining the balls. The retainer is of a crown shaped configuration including a retainer ring body having one side face formed with pockets, each having a portion with an opening, defined at respective locations in a circumferential direction for accommodating therein the balls; a grease reservoir depressed portion provided between the neighboring pockets in the circumferential direction of the retainer ring body for reserving a grease; and a communicating port for communicating the grease reservoir depressed portion and the pocket.

摘要： First and second pluralities of interleaved electrodes 12, 13 are disposed in a ceramic main body part, with ends of the first plurality of electrodes 12 exposed at a first side 11a of the main body part 11, and ends of the second plurality of electrodes 13 exposed at a second side 11b of the main body part 11. A plurality of the main body parts 11 are placed in a jig 15 with only their first sides 11a exposed. The remaining sides are shielded by the jig, and by contact with adjacent main body parts. A metal 14a having good adhesion to ceramic such as chromium is coated on the first sides 11a. Because of the packing of the main body parts in the jig, only first sides 11a are coated--the remaining sides remain free of the coating material. The above coating step is followed by coating with two further layers, a soldering-heat-resistant metallic layer 14b, and a solder-receptive metallic layer 14c. The main body parts are reversed in the jig 15 to expose the second sides 11b, while shielding all other sides. The three coating steps are repeated.

摘要： A foil bearing unit includes: a first foil holder formed of a single component; a radial bearing foil mounted to an inner peripheral surface of the first foil holder; a thrust bearing foil mounted to an end surface of the first foil holder; and an inner member including: a shaft portion; and a flange portion projecting radially outward from the shaft portion. The inner member is supported in a radial direction by a fluid pressure that is generated in a radial bearing gap between a bearing surface of the radial bearing foil and an outer peripheral surface of the shaft portion, and the inner member is further supported in a thrust direction by a fluid pressure that is generated in a thrust bearing gap between a bearing surface of the thrust bearing foil and one end surface of the flange portion.

The confluence region is a region including a void formed by merging of flows of the magnesium alloy. When observing a cross sectional surface of the cage, a ratio of an α phase having a grain size of 20 μm or greater is less than 15% in the magnesium alloy constituting the cage.
