    • An air-conditioning register includes: a register panel exhibited in a compartment and having an opening for flowing out conditioned air; a retainer provided so as to cave in the register panel and having an air passage communicating with the opening; a vertical fin unit including vertical fins received in the retainer and capable of adjusting a wind direction of the conditioned air horizontally; a horizontal fin unit including horizontal fins received in the retainer and capable of adjusting a wind direction of the conditioned air vertically; and an open/close damper received in the retainer and capable of opening/closing the air passage. The air-conditioning register further includes a common operation portion capable of operating the vertical fin unit, the horizontal fin unit and the open/close damper.

    • A process for manufacturing a register for ventilating air includes molding a deflector member having a plurality of shafts and a plurality of first deflector plates. The deflector member is made from a first resin. A connector member, which holds the plurality of shafts rotatably and connects the first deflector plates swingably, is molded from a second resin that possess characteristics that prohibit it from fusing with the first resin. Next, a frame-shaped member, made from a third resin and having a plurality of second deflector plates, is molded by the process. Then, the deflector member, which includes the connector member, is assembled with the frame-shaped member. A knob for operating the first deflector plates can be molded integrally with one of the first deflector plates.

    • A holder includes an outer member, an inner member, an urging member and a locking mechanism. The outer member is box-shaped and has an opening defined therein. The inner member is supported in the outer member, so that the inner member can be moved in and out through the opening. The urging member is provided between the outer and inner members and urges the inner member outwardly relative to the opening. The locking mechanism selectively locking the inner member in the outer member. An object to be held is placed in the inner member. The holder is characterized in that the inner member has hinge portions and L-bent portions at ends thereof adjacent the opening so that the L-bent portions extend from the hinge portions and can be swung thereabout; when the inner member is moved inwardly relative to the outer member, the L-bent portions is pushed by an inside surface of the outer member so that the L-bent portions are swung inward and hold an object in the inner member; and when the inner member is moved outwardly relative to the outer member, the L-bent portions are swung outwardly so that the object can be removed from the holder.

    • A cup holder is arranged for withdrawal from and insertion into an accommodation case. The cup holder includes a frame plate, a cup inserting hole formed through the frame plate, and a cup receiving frame pivotally arranged on the frame plate for rotation, and receiving a cup at a location underneath the cup insertion hole. One of the frame plate and the cup capable of receiving frame is formed of a resin with a higher melting point and the other is formed of a lower melting point resin with a melting point lower than the higher melting point resin. The frame plate and the cup receiving frame are formed by a two-layer molding method wherein the higher melting point resin is cast by injection molding and then a lower melting point resin is cast by injection molding.
