    • The sharing of language models is disclosed. In one embodiment, a language model service is provided that is shareable among handlers for input devices. The service includes a pre-processing mode of operation, and a correction mode of operation. In the former mode, the language model service is designed to receive a range within a document from a handler for an input device, and in response provide advice regarding text under consideration by the handler to insert within the document at the range, based on the context of the document within the range. In the latter mode, the language model service is designed to supervise correction over a range of text within a document, in which a number of different handlers for a number of different input devices were initially responsible for insertion of the text, such that the service solicits suggestions from the handlers, and based thereon determines text corrections. The corrections can then be made by the handlers, or by the service.

    • With the curtain air bag system according to this aspect, if the vehicle ends up rolling over, the main deployment portion receives a supply of gas and consequently inflates and deploys in a curtain shape. Also, the auxiliary deployment portion inflates and deploys by receiving a supply of gas from this main deployment portion via the gas passage. The head of an occupant seated in the front seat is protected against a rollover by the main deployment portion and the auxiliary deployment portion. Here, with the curtain air bag system described above, the upper end portion of the auxiliary deployment portion is connected to the front pillar via the connecting portion. Therefore, it is possible to prevent or effectively suppress the upper end of the auxiliary deployment portion from becoming offset in the vehicle width direction with respect to the front pillar when protecting the head of an occupant, which improves occupant head protection performance forward of the seat.

    • A remote monitoring system for elevator has a plurality of remote monitors for individually monitoring the running states of a plurality of elevators installed in a building, transmits running state data from the remote monitoring system via a communal public telephone line to a communal monitoring center, and allows communication between interphones, provided in the carriages of the elevators, and the monitoring center via the public telephone line. Each of the plurality of remote monitors comprises a memory unit which stores incoming time data of different incoming times, the remote monitor performing incoming controls after independently determining call signals from the monitoring center, based on the incoming time data stored in the memory unit. Furthermore, a first switching unit cuts off the auxiliary power when there has been no irregularity in the monitoring information of the elevator after the operating power has been supplied for a fixed period of time from an auxiliary power instead of the main power when the main power fails; and a second switching unit is driven by power from an interphone battery, and re-injects the auxiliary power when an emergency call button has been pressed.
