摘要： In a backlight assembly and a liquid crystal display device using the backlight assembly, a lamp assembly is mounted on a receiving container and includes lamps. The lamps are connected in parallel and are turned on by the power voltage supplied from a lamp driving module. Sensors are disposed in the receiving container to face the lamps, and detect operation state of the lamps to output sensing signals. A voltage cut-off module is disposed outside of the receiving container, provides the lamp driving module with a voltage cut-off signal when at least one of the sensing signals has an amplitude smaller than a reference signal. The deterioration of the lamps may be prevented, and the life expectancy of lamps may be increased.

A light source is disposed on the light incident surface. A light guide plate may also include a stepped edge portion formed at a marginal area of the light guide plate on which a light source is combined. The stepped edge portion includes a light incident surface, a light reflect surface, an upper surface through which the reflected light exits the light guide plate, and a first edge surface connected between edges of the light reflect surface and the upper surface, being opposite to the stepped edge portion. A backlight assembly includes the light guide plate, a lamp unit including lamps and a lamp reflector that are disposed on the light incident surface, and a mold frame for receiving the stepped edge portion and the lamp unit.

摘要： In a method of a vertical memory device, insulation layers and sacrificial layers are alternately and repeatedly formed on a substrate. A hole is formed through the insulation layers and the sacrificial layers that expose a top surface of the substrate. Then, an interior portion of the hole may be enlarged. A semiconductor pattern is formed to partially fill the enlarged portion of the hole. A blocking layer, a charge storage layer and a tunnel insulation layer may be formed on a sidewall of the hole and the semiconductor pattern. Then, the tunnel insulation layer, the charge storage layer and the blocking layer are partially removed to expose a top surface of the semiconductor pattern. A channel is formed on the exposed top surface of the semiconductor pattern and the tunnel insulation layer. The sacrificial layers are replaced with gate electrodes.
