    • A system and a method for detecting irregular bone defects during dental implant osseointegration process. The system comprises a detecting abutment, an ultrasonic driver, a signal receiving and analyzing device. When dental detection is performed, the detecting abutment is disposed on a substrate holder of a dental implant. The ultrasonic driver configures the piezoelectric transducers disposed on the detecting abutment to produce ultrasonic wave and transmits the ultrasonic wave to the contact surface between the dental implant and the alveolus bone. The piezoelectric transducers can receive the reflected wave caused by the each portion of the contact surface reflecting the ultrasonic wave and transform the reflected wave into time domain voltage signal. The signal receiving and analyzing device receives the time domain voltage signal to determine the depth, the severity and the location of the irregular bone defects of the contact surface.

    • A bidirectional optical scanner assisting in mammography is revealed. The optical scanner that calculates functional images obtained by diffuse optical tomography, used in combination with a mammography machine can reduce the number of mammograms taken and the dose exposure. The bidirectional optical scanner includes a first compression plate, a first optical detection module, a second optical detection module and a second compression plate. The same test position of the tested breast can be detected twice in different directions by the first and the second optical detection modules. No matter where the tumor is located, the tumor can be detected. Besides structural images provided by the mammography machine, functional tomographic images of the breast are obtained by the bidirectional optical scanner. Thus diagnostic accuracy in the detection of breast cancer is improved.

    • An adaptive real-time analysis method for dynamic signals generated by rotary machines improves Vold-Kalman filtering order tracing technology to renew the algorithm logic so that on-line computation ability is achieved. Through signal simulation and practical engineering application to verify the availability, it shows that the output results are extremely accurate. As such, this method is advantaged to estimate the time-domain waveform of specific order signals for the operation of the rotary machines and to interpret the related physical phenomena. Moreover, this method can be applied for a digital signal processor (DSP) to obtain real-time and on-line computation of the order signals needed to be traced and to display the tracing time-domain waveform instantly.
