    • An apparatus for controlling an electric motor (14) for, when energized, moving a vehicle window (22) selectively up or down and selectively in an auto up or auto down mode. The apparatus includes an electrical circuit electrically coupled to the electric motor (14) to energize the electrical motor (14) to move the window (22) toward one of the fully open and fully closed positions. The circuit includes a printed circuit board (46) and a first switch (10) for selectively energizing the electrical motor (14). An actuator (32) is movable to actuate the first switch (10) to actuate the electrical motor (14). A second switch (200) for selectively energizing the electrical motor (14) in an auto function mode is activated by a member (150) extending through the printed circuit board (46).

    • A tire pressure monitoring apparatus includes a pressure transducer having a housing and a valve stem secured to the housing. The valve stem projects through an opening in a wheel for holding the tire. A retention clip is secured to the valve stem. The retention clip includes a plurality of spring retention members for engaging the opening in the when the valve stem projects through the opening. The retention members are deflected when the valve stem projects through the opening and have resilient properties that spring bias the retention members against the wheel to help retain the tire pressure monitoring apparatus on the wheel.

    • A compliant pin (10) is adapted to be pressed into a through-hole (12) of a printed circuit board (14) and have electrical contact with opposing surfaces of a side wall (16) of the through-hole. The compliant pin (10) includes a portion (30) insertable in the through-hole (12) that includes spaced deflectable beam portions (32) having outer surfaces (54 and 56) spaced apart a distance greater than the spacing of the opposing surfaces of the side wall (16). The beam portions (32) engage the side wall (16) and deflect toward each other when the portion (30) is inserted in the through-hole (12) and provide a frictional engagement between the beam portions and the side wall. The frictional engagement provides a retention force for retaining the portion (30) in the through-hole (12). The portion (30) includes an opening (50) that extends through the portion and defines inner surfaces (52) of said beam portions (32) opposite the outer surfaces (54 and 56). The inner surfaces (52) consist essentially of a plurality of blended cylindrical surfaces (60, 62, 64, 66, 68).

    • An apparatus (10) includes spaced contacts (40). A rocking contact (50) has first and second arms (52 and 54) in electrical contact with each other and is supported for rocking movement in opposite first and second directions. The first arm (52) is movable into engagement with a first one of the contacts (40) when the rocking contact (50) rocks in the first direction. The second arm (54) is movable into engagement with the second one of the contacts (40) when the rocking contact (50) rocks in the second direction. An actuator (32) is pivotable to effectuate rocking movement of the rocking contact (50) in the first and second directions. The first and second contacts (40) include respective terminals (70 and 76) for helping to mount the apparatus. The terminals (70 and 76) each comprise compliant pin connectors.
