摘要： The present invention provides an arrangement, e.g. a method, an apparatus and a computer program. The arrangement comprises obtaining information indicative of spatial positions of one or more sound sources within an audio image of a composite audio signal, obtaining information indicative of the types of the one or more sound sources, determining, for each of the one or more sound sources, a position in a display of the apparatus indicative of the spatial position of the sound source and causing an apparatus to display an item representing the sound source in the determined position in the display, wherein the item representing the sound source is determined on basis of the type of the sound source. The arrangement further comprises receiving an indication of a user action associated with an item indicative of a first sound source, determining an indication of a user selected modification of the audio image on basis of the user action, and modifying the composite audio signal in accordance with the user selected modification.

The MDCT coefficients are quantized according to the masking threshold calculated from a psychoacoustic model and a plurality of INT (integer-to-integer) DCT modules are used to remove the cross-channel redundancy in the quantized MDCT coefficients. The output from the INT-DCT modules is Huffman coded and written to a bitstream for transmission or storage.

摘要： An audio encoding method of coding audio signals into a layered data stream having a first layer and a second layer is presented. The second layer serves as an enhancement of the first layer. The method involves forming an original digital audio signal, encoding the original signal to obtain a first layer signal, producing a residual signal to reflect a difference between the original signal and the first layer signal, selecting either the original signal or the residual signal for encoding, and producing a second layer signal by encoding the selected signal. Moreover, the residual signal is evaluated and, in case the result of the evaluation meets given criteria, a predetermined low-entropy signal is selected to be encoded as the second layer signal, instead of the original signal or the residual signal.
