摘要： An ink ejection head including a nozzle holding member having an ink ejection nozzle threadably connected to a forward end portion of a liquid chamber structure. The ink ejection heads further includes a sealing member, such as a packing or an O-ring, located inwardly of a threaded connection as viewed from a liquid chamber in the liquid chamber structure. Introduction of dust or grit through the threaded connection into the liquid chamber can be effectively avoided by this arrangement, to thereby prevent obturation of the ink ejection nozzle.

摘要： An ink-jet printer includes an ink-jet head assembly which has a modular structure. The head assembly includes a generally bathtub-shaped bottom case in which an ink head for ejecting a series of charged ink droplets is mounted and a pair of top and bottom deflection electrodes is also mounted. The head assembly also includes a similarly bathtub-shaped top case which is mounted on the bottom case upside down to define a substantially enclosed space therebetween. The ink head is supported so as to be adjustable in orientation. And, one end of the ink head is supported as a pivotal point so that the other free end may be oriented in any desired direction. In another structure, a print head assembly is detachably mounted on a carriage and the print head assembly includes an inner ink mist absorbing member formed with a slit and formed from a metal. A carriage cover is detachably mounted on the carriage to cover the print head assembly set in position. The carriage cover is provided with an outer ink mist absorbing member formed with a slit and formed from a resin material.

摘要： An ink jet printing head includes: a plurality of piezoelectric actuators arranged in rows on a substrate, each row including first piezoelectric elements and second piezoelectric elements which are alternately arrayed along the row, the first piezoelectric elements being actuatable to apply a compressive force to ink in accordance with print signals, the second piezoelectric elements being fixed and not actuated; and an ink chamber unit which includes ink chambers located above the first piezoelectric elements and containing ink. The ink chamber unit includes: an oscillation plate including diaphragm portions which are connected to the first piezoelectric elements and independently deformable in a direction perpendicular to the substrate by the first piezoelectric elements when actuated; and a nozzle plate which includes nozzles being located above the diaphragm portions and opened to the ink chambers, so that ink drops are respectively forced out from the nozzles when the first piezoelectric elements are actuated.

摘要： An image forming apparatus including an image carrier, a charger, an electrostatic latent image forming member, a developing member, a transferor, and a cleaning device. The electrostatic latent image forming member forms an electrostatic latent image on a surface of the image carrier charged by the charger. The developing member develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the image carrier with toner particles to form a toner image. The transferor transfers the toner image formed on the surface of the image carrier onto a recording medium. The cleaning device includes a fine particle supplier and an electrostatic cleaning mechanism. The fine particle supplier supplies fine particles onto the surface of the image carrier while an image forming operation is not performed. The electrostatic cleaning mechanism electrostatically removes a foreign substance adhered to the supplied fine particles from the surface of the image carrier.
