The system is configured such that the camber movement of the wheel support relative to the body has, around a mean position, an instantaneous center of rotation (CIR r/c) located within a range from 2.5 r above ground to r below ground.

摘要： A motor vehicle fitted with a system for controlling the camber (&thgr;) of the wheels of the vehicle on a bend, including, for each wheel of at least one front axle and/or rear axle of the vehicle, a suspension having a pair of suspension upper and lower arms, articulated at their outboard ends to a hub carrier and attached at their inboard ends to the body of the vehicle. The lower and upper arms of each pair are articulated at their respective inboard ends to a pivot transfer lever which is, in turn, mounted on the body by an articulation, the axis of rotation of which is contained in a longitudinal and vertical plane of the vehicle, the pivot transfer lever being capable of pivoting in such a way as to incline the wheels on the appropriate side.

摘要： A suspension system connects a wheel support to a vehicle body to confer on the wheel support, relative to the body, a degree of camber freedom and a degree of freedom of vertical deflection of the suspension, which freedoms are independent of one another. The suspension system includes an anti-roll device capable of controlling the roll of the body, the anti-roll device being arranged to influence the camber variation as a function of the difference between the vertical deflection of a wheel relative to that of the opposite wheel on the same axle. The system includes suspension elements whose respective inner ends are connected to a rocker for pivoting movement about respective pivot axes that are fixed spacially relative to the rocker.

The support device includes rods articulated at their lower ends to the suspension elements and at their upper ends to the wheel carrier so as to confer on the wheel a degree of camber freedom relative to the suspension elements. 摘要： A vehicle suspension device includes a camber mechanism which imparts to the wheels a degree of freedom of the camber independently of vehicle rolls. The wheels are linked to the suspension elements so that the camber movement of each wheel permits, around a mean position of the wheel, an instantaneous centre of rotation (CIR r/s). A camber connection structure transmits the camber movements of one wheel to another wheel. The instantaneous position of the instantaneous centre of rotation within the camber plane for a zero camber of a wheel satisfies the following condition: Z≦(0.75)Y−(0.12158)R, wherein Z and Y are the ordinate and abscissa, respectively, of the instantaneous position, and R is the wheel radius.
