    • A tip for coupling sound between a medical instrument and an ear includes a sealing surface configured to substantially conform the tip to an auditory canal of the ear. The tip includes an acoustic tube acoustically coupled to at least one of the plurality of openings and defining a first acoustic path. The tip also includes a second acoustic path acoustically coupled to at least another one of the plurality of openings in the sealing surface. The acoustic tube of the first acoustic path is configured to substantially acoustically isolate the first acoustic path from the second acoustic path. A tympanometric instrument is configured to use the tip and to provide an acoustic measurement of the ear of a patient.

    • A seating assembly, such as for use in auditorium seating, includes a pair of spaced frame assemblies and a seat and back, each of which is mounted between the frame assemblies. The seat assembly is mounted to the frame assemblies by means of an internal pivoting arrangement providing movement of the seat between an occupied position and an unoccupied, storage position in which the seat is substantially vertical. A biasing arrangement, such as a counterweight, moves the seat toward its storage position. The back is mounted between the frame assemblies by a pivoting back mounting arrangement, providing articulating movement of the back according to the position of the sitter's back. A biasing arrangement, such as a torsion spring, is associated with the back mounting arrangement for moving the back toward a storage position when the seat is unoccupied. The storage position of the back is substantially vertical, to provide a thin depth of approximately 13 inches to the seating assembly when the seat and back are both in their storage positions.

    • An edge structure for use with a room dividing panel is provided, as well as room dividing panels utilizing the edge structure, and a method of manufacture and/or utilization of such panels. The edge structure includes a unitary extrusion, elongated in a first dimension, of flexible plastic material. The extrusion includes a hollow anchoring portion adapted to anchor the extrusion in a channel in the room dividing panel, and elongated in a second dimension transverse to the first dimension; a pair of support portions extending outwardly from and on opposite sides of the anchoring portion and adapted to engage and overlap an edge of the room dividing panel; and a pair of flexible lips. Each of the lips has one end thereof integral with a support portion, extends toward the other of the support portions, and terminates in a free end unconnected to any other structures. The free ends of the lips are spaced from each other in a third dimension perpendicular to both the first and second dimensions, and are spaced from the support portions in the second dimension. At least one panel interlocking hardware pin is received by the anchoring portion when disposed in the panel channel, the panel extending in the third dimension, and two adjacent panels are interlocked together by a panel hardware structure extending between aligned pins of adjacent panels. The free ends of the lips of the adjacent panels are moved in the second dimension and provide a light-tight interface along the edges between panels. The faces of the panels forming the interface are in-line and flush without any intervening ridge.
