摘要： A cartridge is disclosed comprising a reel-to-reel roll of cleaning material, for use in a hand-held or robotic cleaning device. The cartridge provides either an electrostatic dust cloth or wet mop, and includes a fluid reservoir for maintaining the wet mop cloth during use. A dust bin is also provided on the cartridge, and includes a hinged lid for providing selective access to the dust inside of the bin. A motor, optical sensor, and fluid pump inside of a cleaning apparatus control the operation of the reel-to-reel cloth, and control fluid delivery to the wet cloth.

摘要： Disclosed herein are navigational systems for automated robotic floor cleaners. RFID passive tags are positioned at specified areas of a floor to be treated so as to increase or decrease dwell time of the cleaning device adjacent the tags. An RFID interrogator on the robot learns from each tag its nature, and based thereon instructs the device to change the dwell time over specified areas. This permits areas of a carpet or other surface requiring extra or less treatment to be cleaned in an optimal manner.

摘要： A device for spraying an inner surface of a toilet bowl with a cleaning and/or deodorizing chemical is disclosed. The device can include a container for the chemical, a sprayer through which the chemical can be sprayed laterally at least halfway around a perimeter of the sprayer, means for attaching the sprayer near a rim of the toilet bowl, a fluid conduit in fluid communication with the container and the sprayer, and a manually operated pump for delivering chemical from the container through the fluid conduit and to the sprayer when the pump is operated. In one version, the pump includes a pump chamber in fluid communication with the container, a discharge conduit in fluid communication with the pump chamber and in fluid communication with the fluid conduit, and a piston that reciprocates in the pump chamber for drawing fluid from the container into the pump chamber and moving fluid from the pump chamber through the discharge conduit and into the fluid conduit. The device can apply chemical around the entire circumference of the inner surface of the toilet bowl.

The spray nozzle of the automatic or manual toilet bowl cleaning device can operate such that the chemical is applied to the entire circumference of the inner surface of the toilet bowl whereby the entire toilet bowl is cleaned around the inner circumference of the toilet bowl.

摘要： The present invention is a system for and method of soft surface remediation, In particular, soft surface remediation refers to controlling contaminants, such as dust, dust mites, hair, and foul odor, from surfaces, such as upholstery, draperies, and curtains, in a home. The system of the present invention is based on a four-phase system of process mechanisms including dislodging the contaminants, displacing the contaminants, disposing of the contaminants, and disinfecting/freshening the contaminants. The four main process mechanisms are accomplished via the use of one or more technical mechanisms such as mechanical, electrostatic, acoustic, forced-air, and chemical. Further the technical mechanisms and process mechanisms can be represented by an overall system where combinations of both technical mechanisms and process mechanisms are utilized to accomplish soft surface remediation.
