    • The present invention provides a deflectable catheter-based system for assisting in the delivery of therapeutic agents, cellular materials and the like to one or more sites in a target body tissue. The system provides for one or more injections to a predetermined needle insertion depth with a single core needle that can be advanced and retracted from the tip of the catheter. The catheter assembly includes a handle subassembly having a mechanism for setting and limiting the depth of insertion of the needle, a slide for moving the injection needle between retracted and extended positions, a return spring for biasing the needle to the retracted position, and a modified pulley mechanism for compensating for catheter shaft compression when the catheter is deflected.

    • An apparatus for applying cosmetic or treatment material to a user's lips includes a container containing a lip cosmetic product or a lip treatment product in solid or semi-solid form. An applicator is mounted on the container, the applicator having an upper surface formed in the general shape of human upper and lower lips. In one embodiment, the applicator has apertures extending through the applicator. The apertures advance the product in the container through the apertures and onto the upper surface of the applicator when the container is manipulated. A user applies their lips to the upper surface of the applicator, transferring the product to the user's lips. In a further embodiment, the lip product in the container and the applicator are one solid or semi-solid structure, with the upper surface of the structure formed generally in the shape of a pair of human lips.
