    • The present disclosure describes methods, systems, and computer program products for providing a remote device remote access to software functions. One method includes providing a list of second software functions to a first remote device that are not accessible by the remote device, wherein the remote device has remote access to a first software function; receiving from the remote device a request for a software function of the provided list of second software functions and upon receiving the request, providing the remote device remote access to the requested software function by transmitting access data for the requested software function to the remote device; and after providing the remote access to the requested software function, receiving from the remote device a deactivation command for the requested software function or the first software function and, based on the deactivation command, deactivating the remote access of the remote device to the requested software function or the first software function.

    • A method consistent with the present invention avoids data loss in a data object replication process. The method includes: creating an electronic data element comprising a first field having an identifier and a second field having a state of the identifier; setting the second field of the data element to a state indicating that the electronic data element may be accessed and assigned; assigning the identifier to one or more data objects; setting a shared lock on the electronic data element; storing the one or more data objects; and upon a commit of the storing of the one or more data objects, removing the shared lock and setting the state of the identifier to indicate that the one or more data objects may be replicated.

    • The operation of a test plant comprising a series of test rooms with a respective number of test beds requires management of a multiplicity of data, resources, people, processes, etc. Optimum operation of a test plant with as little unproductivity as possible is possible only when all of this information is networked together and optimum structures for the separation and management of a test plant are created. To this end, the invention now proposes splitting a test order into an order specimen and a process specimen, the two specimens being used to store different information. By linking an order specimen to a process specimen and the associated data and processes, it is a simple matter to generate a test process plan, and the handling of the test job can be controlled and monitored on the basis of the test process plan.

    • A computer-readable medium having stored thereon a data structure for an electronic data element. The electronic data element includes: a first data field containing data representing an identifier functioning as a link to one or more data objects; and a second data field representing a state of the identifier in the first data field.
