摘要： A method and device for applying sheet material, such as wallpaper, to a substrate. The applicator is bi-positionable, having a first position where the sheet material is spaced apart from the substrate and a second position where the sheet material contacts the substrate. Additionally or alternatively, the applicator may be provided with a control bar. In the first position, the control bar contacts a portion of the sheet material such as its free end. This minimizes the chance of the sheet material prematurely contacting the substrate. In the second position, the sheet material is disengaged from the control bar for application to the substrate. The applicator and sheet material may be provided together in a kit.

摘要： A method provides instructions for the butt seam application of a surface covering laminate material. A quantity of a surface covering laminate is provided. A portion of the quantity comprises a web material having a first side and a second side. The first side comprises an adhesive. The second side is releasably joined to a release liner material. The first side of a first portion of the surface covering laminate is disposed in contact with a target surface. The first side of a second portion is disposed in contact with the target surface. At least a part of the second portion overlaps a part of the release liner of the first portion. The release liner is removed from the second portion. The release liner is removed from the first portion of the surface covering laminate together with that part of the second portion which overlaps the first portion.

摘要： A self-wound decorative dry paint transfer laminate includes a layer of dry paint, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one side of the dry paint layer, and a release liner in releasable contact with the dry paint layer on a side opposite from the pressure-sensitive adhesive. The release liner has a matte release coat layer that contacts the dry paint layer. The matte release coat releasably adheres to the dry paint layer to provide a protective function but also to transfer a decorative matte finish to the dry paint layer when the release liner is removed from the dry paint layer. The opposite side of the release liner has an adhesive release coat that contacts the pressure-sensitive adhesive when the laminate is in a self-wound form.

摘要： A device for treating a target surface, such as occurs when cleaning a window. The device has a squeegee blade or other member to apply pressure to the target surface. A sheet movably covers the blade, to present a fresh covering to the target surface with each use. The fresh surface provides for improved removal of the liquid from, or improved treatment of the liquid on, the target surface. Additionally a sheet may comprise a prewetted substrate to apply the liquid to the target surface. 摘要： A method and applicator for applying sheet material to a substrate. The applicator comprises two outwardly facing burnishes, each having an outwardly facing surface. The surfaces are disposed at an included angle of at least 180°, and preferably at least 270°. This geometry allows for positioning sheet material, such as wallpaper, into a corner to begin application at a desired position. Further, this geometry allows the user to conveniently and ergonomically effectively rotate the applicator as the sheet material is being applied. The applicator and sheet material may be provided together in a kit.

摘要： An anhydrous lotion composition for killing viruses and bacteria in addition to imparting a soft, lubricious, lotion-like feel when applied to tissue paper and tissue paper treated with such lotion compositions are disclosed. The antiviral action of the lotion is due to the addition of an organic acid such as citric acid or salicylic acid. The antibacterial action is due to the addition of antibacterial agents such as TRICLOSAN®. The solubilization of the antiviral and antibacterial agents within the lotion matrix is aided by the addition of hydrophilic solvents and hydrophilic surfactants. The lubricious lotions also contain a plastic or fluid skin conditioning agent such as petrolatum, an optional immobilizing agent such as a fatty alcohol or fatty acid to immobilize the skin conditioning agent on the surface of the tissue paper web and a hydrophilic surfactant to improve wettability when applied to toilet tissue. Because less lotion is required to impart the desired soft, lotion-like feel benefits, detrimental effects on the tensile strength and caliper of the lotioned paper are minimized or avoided. The anhydrous nature of the lotions also aids in the maintenance of such physical properties as tensile and caliper.
