    • There is described a method for adjusting the detection, transmission and/or reception parameters (DET, GTx, GRx) of a radiofrequency reader (10) of an electronic radiofrequency identification system as a function of the ambient electromagnetic noise. This method includes at least one step of measuring, via the radiofrequency reader, the ambient electromagnetic noise level, and a step of adjusting the detection, transmission and/or reception parameters of the radiofrequency reader on the basis of the measured ambient electromagnetic noise level. Preferably, this method further includes a step of measuring the response of a reference transponder (30) placed at least temporarily in the interrogation field of the antenna (20) associated with the radiofrequency reader, this reference transponder (30) having similar characteristics to the characteristics of the transponders to be identified. The adjustment step also includes adjustment of the detection, transmission and/or reception parameters of the radiofrequency reader on the basis of the measured response of the reference transponder (30). There is also described an electronic radiofrequency identification system for implementing this method.

    • A system and a method are described for detection of individuals (8) or objects in a plurality of delimited spaces (10), each having at least one entrance (6). The detection system comprises LF transmission means (4, 4*, 5, 5*) located at the entrance, for transmitting a LF electromagnetic signal, HF transmission-reception means (12, 13) for transmitting-receiving a HF electromagnetic signal (C, ACK), cards or portable electronic units (36) equipping each individual or object, for receiving the LF signal and for transmitting and receiving the HF signal, and a central processing unit (20) for recording data relating to the entry and exit of the portable electronic units. The system can operate according to at least two distinct modes of operation and the LF signal comprises selection information (SELECT) indicating which of the two modes of operation should be used by the electronic units during their passage through the entrance. The system is preferably configured to pass, at least temporarily, in one of the said delimited spaces, from one mode of operation to the other.

    • There is disclosed a system for detecting the passage of persons or objects through an entry-exit (4) to a delimited space (2), including (i) a detection device including transmission means (8) for transmitting different first and second electromagnetic signals (a, b) in respectively first and second communication regions (A, B) spatially separated from each other and partially overlapping, (ii) portable electronic units (40) intended to be fitted to said persons or objects and including reception means for said first and second electromagnetic signals, and (iii) means for detecting the direction of passage, through said entry-exit, of a person or an object fitted with a portable electronic unit. Each portable electronic unit includes amplitude measuring means for determining the reception amplitude of said first and second electromagnetic signals and comparator means for comparing the reception amplitude of the first and second electromagnetic signals so as to determine which of these two signals has the highest amplitude.
