    • The object of the present invention is to provide an electrical connector in which terminals with wires having a diameter larger than another wire can be accommodated in the cavities of the connector without changing the size of the connector and without using a butt joint. The electrical connector according to the present invention includes a connector housing, a first terminal for connecting a first wire, the first terminal having an electrical contact portion at one end thereof, a conductor clamping portion at another end thereof, and intermediate portion, a second terminal for connecting a second wire having a diameter larger than that of the first wire, the second terminal having an electrical contact portion at one end thereof, a conductor clamping portion at another end thereof, and intermediate portion, the intermediate portion of the second terminal being formed to be longer than that of the first terminal, and a plurality of terminal accommodating cavities disposed in the connector housing for accommodating the first and second terminals, wherein each of the second terminals is accommodated so as to protrude form a rear end of the plurality of terminal accommodating cavities and at least one first terminal is disposed between the second terminals.

    • A double-lock connector includes a connector housing having terminal receiving chambers, metal terminals for being inserted respectively into the terminal receiving chambers, and a terminal retainer connectable to a rear end portion of the connector housing in a two-stage manner, that is, in a provisionally-connected condition and a completely-connected condition, wherein even when the terminal retainer in the provisionally-connected condition, the metal terminal can be smoothly inserted into the connector housing. The double-lock connector of the present invention includes a connector housing and a terminal retainer for being inserted into the connector housing. The connector housing has a plurality of terminal receiving chambers which are separated from one another by a horizontal partition wall and a vertical partition wall. An elastic retaining piece is provided within each of the terminal receiving chambers. A rearwardly-extending tongue-like terminal guide piece is formed on the horizontal partition wall, separating the upper and lower terminal receiving chambers from each other, and is disposed centrally with the width of each terminal receiving chamber. A front end of the terminal guide piece is extended substantially to an inlet end of the connector housing.

    • An electric connector wherein a pair of connector housings can be fitted smoothly with each other at a step in accordance with an inertial locking system and besides can be separated smoothly from each other.     • The connector consists of a connector housing with terminal accommodating chambers formed therein and a rear holder integrally joined to the housing by hinge straps.
