    • An image forming method including: forming a liquid receiving particle layer on an intermediate transfer member using a liquid receiving particle that is capable of receiving a recording liquid including a recording material; forming an image of the recording material on a surface of the liquid receiving particle layer by applying a liquid droplet of the recording liquid to the liquid receiving particle layer on the basis of image data and holding the recording material on the surface of the liquid receiving particle layer on the intermediate transfer member; applying a transfer auxiliary liquid in at least a portion of a formation range of the image; and transferring the liquid receiving particle layer to which the recording liquid is applied to a transfer receiving member from the intermediate transfer member, such that the image is interposed between the transfer receiving member and the liquid receiving particle layer is provided.

    • An image recording apparatus is disclosed wherein an image is recorded on a recording medium based on image information by ejecting liquid droplets from a liquid droplet ejecting head. A liquid droplet ejecting head is provided which has an ejection region substantially corresponding to a width of the recording medium. A conveyor unit is provided which conveys the recording medium to the ejection region of the liquid droplet ejecting head with the recording medium attracted and attached thereto and supported thereon. The recording medium is fed from the conveyor unit to a paper discharge section. Further, a plurality of attracting and supporting sub-units are provided which are vertically moved with the recording medium, which is delivered thereto from the conveyor unit, attracted and attached thereto and supported thereon, thereby conveying the recording medium to a subsequent step.

    • An image recording device includes plural retaining units each of which retains a recording medium on circumference thereof, a printing head that forms an image on the recording medium, a loop unit that retains the plural retaining units on a closed path, a first driving unit that drives each of the plural retaining units, and a second driving unit that conveys the retaining units on the loop unit, wherein when the first driving unit drives one of the plural retaining units to form an image on a first recording medium retained on circumference thereof, the first driving unit drives another one of the retaining units to mount a second recording medium on circumference thereof, and the second driving unit conveys one of the retaining units to a recording medium peeling position after completing image formation, and another one of the retaining units to a printing position.
