摘要： The inventors have revealed that the actual rotation speed of the rotor in a fan structured as a centrifugal fan exceeds the designated rotation speed if the ventilation opening of the centrifugal fan is occluded. If a larger amount of dust accumulates at the ventilation opening of the centrifugal fan, for example, the actual rotation speed of the rotor in the centrifugal fan exceeds the designated rotation speed by a predetermined deviation. The accumulation of dust at the ventilation opening can in this manner be observed in a facilitated manner. The occlusion of the ventilation opening can thus be detected.

摘要： A fan is enclosed in the enclosure of an electronic apparatus. The fan discharges air out of a ventilation opening of the fan. Heat radiating fins are located in an air passage extending from the ventilation opening. A dust catcher is removably mounted on an outside surface of the enclosure into an opening of the enclosure. The dust catcher is located in the air passage between the heat radiating fins and the ventilation opening. The dust catcher serves to catch the dust in the air passage. The dust catcher is removed from the enclosure along with the dust.
