摘要： To provide a fabric and clothing having a low irritation to patients with atopic dermatitis with high productivity. The fabric is produced as a fabric for patients with atopic dermatitis, which is contactable with an affected area of patients with atopic dermatitis and comprises an ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH)-series fiber comprising an ethylene-vinyl alcohol-series copolymer having an ethylene content of 25 to 70% by mole, in which the surface of the EVOH-series fiber is occupied by the ethylene-vinyl alcohol-series copolymer in a proportion of not less than 70%, wherein the hydroxyl group amount of the EVOH-series fiber surface is 20 to 70% by mole, the Young's modulus of the EVOH-series fiber is not more than 60 cN/dtex, and the single fiber fineness of the EVOH-series fiber is not more than 5 dtex. The EVOH-series fiber may be a sheath-core structure conjugated fiber comprising the EVOH-series copolymer as the sheath component, in particular a sheath-core structure conjugated fiber which comprises the EVOH-series copolymer having an ethylene content of 25 to 70% by mole as the sheath component and a crystalline thermoplastic resin having a melting point of not lower than 150° C. as the core component.

摘要： Disclosed is a fiber made of a polyester resin, wherein the polyester resin is a copolymer including a dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component; of the dicarboxylic acid component, 80 mol % or more is accounted for by a terephthalic acid component, 4.0 to 12.0 mol % is accounted for by a cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid component, and 2.0 to 8.0 mol % is accounted for by an adipic acid component; and the glycol component contains an ethylene glycol component as a main component thereof. A polyester fiber is thereby provided which can be dyed with excellent deep color property and fastness property in dyeing under a normal pressure environment and which can offer stable quality and processing performance also by a direct spinning stretching method or other general melt-spinning methods.

摘要： An electrically conductive composite fiber comprising an electrically conductive layer formed of a polyester-based polymer (A) having a melting point of 200° C. or higher and containing from 23 to 33% by weight of electrically conductive carbon black, and a protective layer formed of a polyester-based polymer (B) having a melting point of 210° C. or higher, wherein the difference between the SP value of the (A) and the SP value of the (B) is adjusted to not greater than a predetermined value and the fiber strength and the elongation at break are adjusted within certain ranges. This can make it possible to obtain an electrically conductive composite fiber that has a superior antistatic performance, which is not degraded very much over a practical wearing for a long term, though it contains only a relatively small amount of electrically conductive carbon black, and that is suitable for the field of clothing such as clean room wears and working wears.

摘要： The present invention provides shaped articles incorporating mixed particulate metals comprising fine particles of a first metal or a compound thereof capable of releasing a metal ion having a first antimicrobial function, and a second metal having an ionization tendency different from that of the first metal or a compound thereof capable of releasing a metal ion having a second antimicrobial function, together with a polyester compound having specific properties, dispersed therein, and thus being capable of effectively releasing gradually over a long period a trace amount of the metal ions having an antimicrobial function from the particulate metals and maintaining an excellent antimicrobial function. The fibers according to the present invention also have excellent durability of the antimicrobial function and have excellent mildew resistance, in repeated washings and in service.

摘要： Provided is an electrically conductive conjugate fiber formed by conjugating an electrically conductive layer (A) including 60 to 80% by weight of a thermoplastic resin and 20 to 40% by weight of electrically conductive particles and a protective layer (B) including 50 to 95% by weight of polyethylene terephthalate and 5 to 50% by weight of polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate, wherein the fiber has a degree of elongation (DE) of 100 to 350%. This provides an electrically conductive conjugate fiber which exhibits a small change with time in physical properties such as a degree of elongation or boiling water shrinkage during its transportation or storage, while having a certain degree of elongation.

摘要： A fiber comprising a vinyl alcohol units-containing polymer, said polymer being modified at the oxygen atoms of its alcoholic hydroxyl groups with a group represented by the following formula I ##STR1## wherein M represents a chelate-forming metal atom and R represents an alkyl group. The fiber has excellent resistance to hot water and wet heat and does not stick, adhere or shrink even when dyed at high temperatures or treated by steam ironing, thus proving to be of markedly high commercial value.
