摘要： An image processing device includes: processing pixel group determination unit that determines a to-be-processed pixel group from a plurality of frame images of picture signals input based on a first predetermined rule and that determines a processed pixel group from the processed frame image stored based on a second predetermined rule; frequency component processing unit that extracts at least a temporal frequency component from the to-be-processed pixel group and the processed pixel group, that executes predetermined coefficient processing on a temporal high-frequency component of the temporal frequency component and that acquires the executed to-be-processed pixel group; processing completion frame generation unit that generates a processing completion frame image from the executed to-be-processed pixel group; and image output unit that outputs the processing completion frame image and that stores the processing completion frame image in the processed frame storage unit, in which the frequency component processing unit prevents the predetermined coefficient processing from being executed on a component having low sensitivity in visual characteristic included in the temporal high-frequency component.

摘要： A moving image encoding device measures a band of a target image to be encoded and a band of a reference image by a band analyzer, and generates band-related information representing these bands. A prediction signal generator generates a prediction signal such that the signal matches the band of the target image, from the reference image, based on the band-related information. A difference unit obtains a difference between the target image and the prediction signal to generate a differential signal. A converter and a quantizer each encode the differential signal to generate an encoded differential signal. An inverse quantizer and an inverter each decode the encoded differential signal to generate a decoded differential signal. An adder adds the prediction signal to the decoded differential signal to generate a reproduced image. An output terminal outputs at least the encoded differential signal and the band-related information.

摘要： An object is to provide a video evaluation apparatus and video evaluation method capable of appropriately evaluating a video consisting of a plurality of frame images, using an objective standard. The object is achieved as follows. A reference characteristic, which is a predetermined spatio-temporal frequency characteristic about a video, is stored, and a video characteristic analyzer 101 calculates a spatio-temporal frequency characteristic of a target video consisting of a plurality of frame images. Then a video evaluation determiner 102 calculates an evaluated value of the target video, based on a relative relation between the calculated spatio-temporal frequency characteristic and the stored reference characteristic. This enables appropriate evaluation of the video.

摘要： A moving image encoding/decoding system may include a video predictive encoding device, which may include: an encoding device which encodes each of a plurality of input pictures to generate compressed picture data including a random access picture, and encodes data about display order information of each picture; a restoration device which decodes the compressed picture data to restore a reproduced picture; a picture storage device which stores the reproduced picture as a reference picture; and a memory management device which controls the picture storage device. Following completion of an encoding process of generating the random access picture, the memory management device refreshes the picture storage device by setting every reference picture in the picture storage device, except for the random access picture, as unnecessary immediately before or immediately after encoding a picture with display order information larger than the display order information of the random access picture.
