    • In an energy recovery type surface acoustic wave motor, an increase in energy efficiency at the time of energy recovery and supply is achieved by adjusting phase change. A surface acoustic wave motor comprises: a surface acoustic wave substrate; a slider provided with an applied pressure; a driving interdigital electrode connected to an external power supply for generating a driving surface acoustic wave on a surface so as to drive the slider by a frictional force which is generated on a contact surface of the slider with the surface acoustic wave substrate based on the surface acoustic wave and the applied pressure; recovery interdigital electrodes placed forward and backward in the direction of travel of the surface acoustic wave for recovering energy of a surface acoustic wave unused to drive the slider, and for using that energy to generate a surface acoustic wave; and phase adjusting means for matching the phase of a surface acoustic wave generated by the recovery interdigital electrodes to the phase of the driving surface acoustic wave generated by the driving interdigital electrode.

    • A drive device includes two integrated electromagnetic coils separated on an axis, an elastic body, and two movable electric conductors. A first conductor is repulsively moved to right by a repulsion force caused by an eddy current generated on the first conductor with an electrical current-supply to a first electromagnetic coil and then, the elastic body is compressed by the first conductor and subsequently pushes back the first conductor. At this time, the electrical current-supply to the first electromagnetic coil is turned off, and the first conductor collides with the first electromagnetic coil, and this collision generates a leftward impact. The left and right groups enable a left-right reciprocating movement.

    • In a generating method and a generator of mist or fine-bubble, with a simple and small configuration, application into a wide range kind of liquid is enabled, and generating stably the mist or the fine-bubbles or both is enabled. The generator is provided with a piezoelectric substrate which equips two or more comb-like electrodes on a surface and arranged so that the surface may intersect the mutual interface of the gas and the liquid and a part of piezoelectric substrate is put in a liquid, and a surface acoustic wave excited on the surface with the electrode is made to propagate along the surface so that may exist in the upper and lower sides of an interface. The surface acoustic wave generates mist in the gas side which is above the interface, and generates fine-bubbles in the liquid side which is below the interface. Since the mist and the fine-bubbles are generated with the surface acoustic wave, without being based on mechanical operation for generating a turning stream, the mist and the fine-bubbles can be stably generated in the simple and small configuration.

The liquid can be supplied stably by the small gap and a distribution of the liquid can be limited by the large gap.

    • There is provided a surface acoustic wave atomizer which can guide a liquid to an atomizing area on a substrate surface stably at a constant quantity per unit time and can limit a distribution of the liquid on the substrate surface, so that a stable and efficient atomization and a deterioration control of an interdigital transducer and so on can be achieved with a simple configuration. The surface acoustic wave atomizer includes a piezoelectric substrate which has a pattern electrode on a surface and a liquid supply member for supplying a liquid to the surface and atomizes the liquid supplied to the surface by surface acoustic wave, and between the liquid supply member and the surface of the piezoelectric substrate, a small gap is provided in an area which is designed to hold and guide the liquid and a large gap is provided in an area which is not designed to supply the liquid, so that the liquid is supplied to an atomizing area in an area away from the pattern electrode in the surface of the piezoelectric substrate by using a difference in surface tension due to sizes of the gaps.
