    • Image data is stored in a plurality of image memories each capable of storing at least one picture of image information, and the plurality of image memories are successively read and their stored images displayed. Ordinarily, the received image data is stored in whichever of the image memories has been designated by a memory number information contained in control data provided along with the received image data. However, when the memory number designated by the control data and the memory number information of an image memory whose stored data is currently being read out and displayed coincide, the writing of the image data in the image memory information whose number has been designated is prohibited. Instead, the image data is written in an image memory whose memory number differs from that of an image memory from which the data is currently being read.

    • An oscillator device includes an oscillation system having an oscillator and an elastic supporting member, a detecting member for detecting oscillation amplitude of the oscillator, a driving member for driving the oscillator, and a control unit for generating a driving signal for driving the oscillator and for supplying the driving signal to the driving member, wherein the control unit reciprocally sweeps a driving frequency of the driving signal so that a resonance frequency of the oscillation system is included within a frequency range swept, wherein the control unit determines a resonance frequency based on at least two frequencies with which an oscillation amplitude value obtainable by the reciprocal sweeping reaches a maximum, and wherein the control unit generates the driving signal based on the determined resonance frequency.

    • An oscillation device capable of generating a drive signal waveform with a sufficiently small number of harmonic components is provided. The oscillation device includes an oscillation system, a supporting unit configured to support the oscillation system, a drive unit configured to drive the oscillation system, and a drive control unit configured to control the drive unit by supplying a drive signal. The oscillation system includes a torsion spring and an oscillator. The drive control unit includes a drive-signal generating circuit configured to generate the drive signal using an address generator configured to generate an address to which a predetermined variable is added at a frequency higher than a frequency of the drive signal and using a trigonometric-function table indexed by an output of the address generator. The frequency of the drive signal is adjusted by adjusting the predetermined variable.
