    • A space-efficient card reader for various electronic devices includes a plurality of adjacent, spaced-apart electrical connector pins extending outwardly from a portion of a printed circuit board (PCB) in an electronic device. A cover is configured to overlie the PCB portion, and includes a plurality of adjacent, spaced-apart apertures formed therein. Each aperture is configured to receive a respective one of the connector pins therethrough when the cover is in a secured position overlying the PCB portion. A receptacle is secured to an outer surface of the cover, and is configured to removably receive a card therein such that electrical contacts on the card make contact with the connector pins extending through the apertures in the cover.

    • The present invention relates to a portable communication device and an antenna system. The device comprises an antenna feeding circuit and at least a first part having a hollow interior where different electrical elements are provided and provided with a main section having a certain width, length and a first height, and an antenna system. The antenna system comprises a ground plane (22, 24) located within and extending along essentially the whole width and length of at least the main section and an antenna element (28) located within the first part. The ground plane is provided in one piece and the only electrical elements of the first part being electrically connected to say ground plane are radio transmission elements.

    • The invention relates to an adjustable brace (1) comprising a pair of resilient elements (2, 3) which are interconnected at the ends (4, 5). The resilient elements are curved so that one element (2) is predominantly positioned externally in the brace, while the other element (3) is predominantly positioned internally in the brace. Means (6) are provided to cooperate with both elements between their ends to adjust the distance between the elements. If the means are affected in a direction toward each other, e.g. halfway along the brace, tensile forces will be generated in the internal element and compressive forces in the external element and the resulting force will cause the brace to curve additionally. The field of use is preferably for braces which are to extent behind the ear to hold a loudspeaker, side bars of a pair of glasses, etc. which are to be adapted to an individual anatomy.
