摘要： Methods and devices are described for writing an optical record carrier, in which a mark representing recorded data is written in a phase-change layer of a record carrier by a sequence of radiation pulses. A rear heating pulse 24 is introduced after a last write pulse 23, 26 and a front heating pulse 25 is introduced before the first write pulse 22,26. The power level 13 of the front heating pulse and the power level 15 of the rear heating pulse may be dependent on the length of the mark to be recorded and on properties of the record carrier. The method results in a reduced jitter of the marks written, especially when writing at high recording speeds.

摘要： The invention relates to a system for providing an electrical cardiac activity map by means of electrical signals acquired by a plurality of surface electrodes on an outer surface of a living being (6). A cardiac structure position determination unit (12) determines a position of a cardiac structure, in particular, of the epicardial surface, based on provided projection images, wherein an anatomical cardiac model is adapted to the projection images. The projection images may be provided by an x-ray C-arm system (2). An electrical activity map determination unit (13) determines the electrical activity map at the cardiac structure based on the electrical signals, the positions of the plurality of surface electrodes also determined from the projection images, and the determined position of the cardiac structure. This allows determining the electrical activity map at the cardiac structure with high accuracy, without necessarily needing, for instance, an x-ray computed tomography system that would apply a relatively high x-ray radiation dose to the living being. The electrodes may be comprised in a vest (8).

The invention further provides a computer program for executing such a method, a data storage medium on which such a computer program is stored and a medical device comprising such a system or being adapted to execute such a method.

摘要： The invention relates to a system (1) for providing an electrical activity map of the heart by means of electrical signals acquired by a plurality of surface electrodes (9). A surface electrodes positions determination unit (4, 6, 13) determines positions of the plurality of surface electrodes by means of optical shape sensing localization. The optical shape sensing element may comprise a wand (4), or alternatively an optical shape sensing fiber embedded in the vest comprising the surface electrodes. The position of a cardiac structure may be determined using ultrasound. An electrical activity map determination unit (16) determines the electrical activity map at the cardiac structure based on the measured electrical signals, the determined positions of the plurality of electrodes and the position of the cardiac structure, in particular, of the epicardial surface. Since optical shape sensing is used for determining the positions of the plurality of surface electrodes and not, for instance, x-rays, the electrical activity map can be determined, without necessarily applying an x-ray radiation dose.

Energy is a precious commodity in portable devices. A memory, in particular a volatile memory, consumes power. In case energy is required for keeping data objects stored, of which no backup is at the disposal of the user, but this energy might not be available in the future due to battery level, storage of data objects of which a backup exists is sacrificed for the benefit of storage of data objects for which there is no backup.
