    • A multi-protocol personality module enabling load/store from remote memory, remote Direct memory Access (DMA) transactions, and remote interrupts, which permits enhanced performance, power utilization and functionality. In one form, the module is used as a node in a network fabric and adds a routing header to packets entering the fabric, maintains the routing header for efficient node-to-node transport, and strips the header when the packet leaves the fabric. In particular, a remote bus personality component is described. Several use cases of the Remote Bus Fabric Personality Module are disclosed: 1) memory sharing across a fabric connected set of servers; 2) the ability to access physically remote Input Output (I/O) devices across this fabric of connected servers; and 3) the sharing of such physically remote I/O devices, such as storage peripherals, by multiple fabric connected servers.

    • A method for facilitating tracking of packets through a plurality of localized transaction-tagging domains comprises determining a local tag applied within a first localized transaction-tagging domain to an output packet of the first localized transaction-tagging domain and assigning a system-generated global transaction tag to the output packet dependent upon the local tag. Assigning is performed in response to successfully performing the determining. The global transaction tag information is re-applied to an output packet of a second localized transaction-tagging domain after the packet is generated by the second localized transaction-tagging domain. The global transaction tag is a unique identifier that identifies all packets associated with a particular transaction globally across a plurality of localized transaction-tagging domains.

    • A process of transitioning from a first polymerization reaction conducted in the presence of a mixed catalyst system to a second polymerization reaction conducted in the presence of a chrome-based catalyst system is disclosed, the polymerization reactions being conducted in one embodiment in a polymerization zone of a gas phase fluidized bed reactor which contains a fluidized bed of polymer particles by the essentially continuous passage of monomer gases through the polymerization zone, comprising: a) discontinuing the introduction of the mixed catalyst system into the reactor; b) maintaining polymerization conditions in the reactor and permitting polymerization to continue for a period of time to allow the components of the mixed catalyst system present in the reactor to produce additional polymer particles; c) introducing a deactivating agent into the fluidized bed in an amount sufficient to deactivate the mixed catalyst system; d) establishing optimal conditions within the reactor for the chrome-based catalyst system; and e) introducing the chrome-based catalyst system into the reactor characterized in that the amount of polymer particles in the fluidized bed is substantially maintained in the polymerization zone during the transition steps.
