摘要： A sensor arrangement which contains for a vehicle control system, comprises a buffer for geographic information, whereby the geographic information is suitable to describe at least one possible route of the vehicle. An input interface selects subsets of the geographic information stored in the buffer in response to at least one position-related parameter which is entered at the input interface. An output interface selects subsets of the geographic information corresponding to the parameter values provided, which subsets are transmitted for further processing in the vehicle control system.

摘要： The invention concerns a system for informing the driver regarding sections of road lying ahead and being considered for a passing process. For this, the system employs, on the basis of known navigation systems, special data from digital maps in order to carry out an evaluation of ahead lying sections of road according to various criteria. Vehicle specific data, driver profiles or data regarding the actual weather situation can be incorporated into the evaluation. As a result, ahead lying stretches of road are classified as to their suitability for a passing maneuver, and the driver is informed, for example, by a display.
