摘要： A method for transacting transfers of commodities involves observing the price of a commodity at several observation points over a period of time. In one embodiment, a maximum price is specified. For each observation point, the maximum price is selected in the event the observed price is greater than the maximum price, or the observed price is selected in the event the observed price is less than the maximum price. The price for a quantity of the commodity then is calculated based on the average of the selected prices and a premium. Individual contracts can be aggregated to reach more acceptable trading quantities and intervals, enabling participation of a derivative hedging products service provider and intermediate parties such as resellers and reseller services companies. Aggregation can be carried out manually or automatically, and configured to support anonymity of various parties in the transaction chain.

摘要： A device for distributing waste heat from a heat source evenly across an exterior surface of an enclosure is disclosed. The device includes a first layer of material that has a high thermal conductivity along a first plane. One or more layers of material that include a controlled thermal conductivity along a second plane are connected with the first layer. At least one of those layers has a low thermal conductivity (e.g. a thermal insulating material) in the second plane and that layer is positioned between the heat source and the enclosure so that heat flow through that layer is substantially inhibited in the second plane and a majority of the waste heat is thermally transferred through the first layer along the first plane to the exterior surface where the waste heat is uniformly distributed thereby reducing hot spots on the exterior surface which can cause user discomfort.

摘要： Apparatus and method for constructing a manhole collar between an existing manhole cone and a precast manhole ring. The apparatus includes a circular slip form tube, tapered from a larger top diameter to a smaller bottom diameter; at least two support arms, radially extending from adjacent the top of the slip form tube for placement on a support surface, such as a road surface, to hold the tube at a selected height relative to ground level within a manhole cone; and a plurality of fasteners for attachment of a precast manhole ring about the exterior periphery of the slip form tube for supporting the ring at a selected height relative to the manhole cone and the roadway surface. The apparatus may include a concrete spill retention ring, placeable upon the top rim of the manhole cone and around the slip form tube to prevent concrete from entering the manhole cone. The method of the invention includes the steps of supporting the slip form tube upon the roadway surface by the arms; fastening the manhole ring to the tube for proper positioning thereof; leveling the tube and ring; and the pouring of concrete about the slip form tube to form a ring-supporting concrete collar between the manhole cone and the manhole ring.

摘要： The present invention provides improved pharmaceutical formulations for pulmonary delivery having improved chemical and physical stability of the therapeutic, prophylactic or diagnostic agent as compared to formulations known in the art. The improved pharmaceutical formulations of the invention for administration to the respiratory system of a patient for the treatment of a variety of disease conditions comprise a mass of biocompatible particles comprising an active agent, and a hydrogenated starch hydrosylate (HSH). The improvement over the prior art comprises the presence of HSH in the pharmaceutical formulation. The invention further relates to a method of treating diseases comprising administering the pharmaceutical formulations of the present invention to the respiratory system of a patient in need of treatment.
