    • An electrical connector with latch mechanism includes an insulating housing having at least two rows of contact receiving channels and a passageway defined between the two rows of contact receiving channels, a plurality of contacts received in the contact receiving channels, and a latch mechanism mounted in the passageway including a pair of latch arms and a flexible beam flexibly connecting the latch arms. The pair of latch arms has a pair of hooks and a pair of force receiving portions forming a pair of cantilevers at outer sides thereof and a pair of flexible slices at inner sides thereof extending inwardly toward each other. During the force receiving portions are exerted to make the hooks latch a mating electrical connector, besides the flexible beam, the cantilevers and the flexible slices are deformed to cumulate resilience which produces an increased latch force when the force receiving portions are released.

    • A connector assembly includes a plug connector and a receptacle connector. The plug connector includes a dielectric body which has at least two rows of male contact receiving holes extending therethrough and a passageway defined between the two rows of male contact receiving holes. A male latch mechanism is mounted in the passageway. The male latch mechanism has two latch arms and a flexible beam flexibly connecting the latch arms. The receptacle connector has a receiving cavity for receiving the plug connector. A female latch mechanism is positioned in the receiving cavity. The female latch mechanism has an engaging component at its free end for engaging with the latch arms of the male latch mechanism, thereby locking the plug connector to the receptacle connector.

    • The present invention discloses a shield and an electrical connector with the shield. The shield has elastic slices each having a first bending portion, a second bending portion and a pressing portion. The first bending portion has a first horizontal portion flexed horizontally and outwardly, a first vertical portion flexed vertically and downwardly and a first corner connecting therebetween. The second bending portion has a second horizontal portion flexed horizontally and outwardly, a second vertical portion flexed vertically and upwardly and a second corner connecting therebetween. The pressing portion is extended from the upper part of the second vertical portion. When the electrical connector is assembled with an outside electrical device, the pressing portions of the elastic slices prop against the outside electrical device. Constructed as mentioned above, the elastic slices distribute stress generated by the propping action on the down left inner portions of the first corners and on up left inner portions of the second corners. Therefore the shield of the present invention can disperse stress effectively. Accordingly, the shield is prevented from being destroyed.

    • An audio connector has an insulating housing having a body.     • An audio jack connector has an insulating housing. The insulating housing has an inserting hole extending from a front to rear for receiving the audio plug connector and a plurality of recesses communicating with the inserting hole for receiving a plurality of terminals. An elastic body which is disposed in the inserting hole perpendicular to an extending direction of the inserting hole has two opposite tightening arms and a connecting portion interconnected with opposite ends of the tightening arms. A front end of the audio plug connector passes through the elastic body and is restrained by the elastic body. Two tightening arms of the elastic body are against the portions of the front end of the audio plug connector from opposite directions, when the audio plug connector is inserted into the inserting hole of the insulating housing.
