摘要： In a color liquid crystal exposure apparatus equipped with a liquid crystal shutter comprising a single array of liquid crystal pixels, a cost reduction is achieved by reducing the number of control ICs required to control the liquid crystal pixels in the liquid crystal shutter. The liquid crystal exposure apparatus for exposing a photosensitive member, during a relative movement thereof, comprises: a color light source for emitting a plurality of colored light beams; a liquid crystal shutter having a plurality of liquid crystal pixels arrayed in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the relative movement; and a driving circuit for switching the color light source from one color to another, and for driving the plurality of liquid crystal pixels, wherein the plurality of liquid crystal pixels are divided into a plurality of pixel groups of N liquid crystal pixels each, the N liquid crystal pixels in each pixel group being arrayed, one displaced from another by a prescribed distance, in the direction orthogonal to the direction of the relative movement, and the driving circuit drives the plurality of liquid crystal pixels in time-division fashion so that the liquid crystal pixels having the same displaced position in the plurality of pixel groups are driven at one time.

摘要： A printing head for a dot matrix printer is disclosed which facilitates assembly and disassembly and improves printing quality.The printing head has a plurality of hammers carrying respective printing wires, a plurality of coils each of which corresponds to each of the hammers, and a permanent magnet for retaining the hammers at the standing positions thereof, so that the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet is cancelled by exciting the coils so as to release the hammers, thereby driving the printing wires by virtue of the elasticity of the hammers. The printing head includes an annular base which is provided with, at the outer portion thereof, a hammer mounting portion for securing a plurality of hammer base portions, at the inner portion thereof, a plurality of implanted columnar cores around which respective coils are wound, and a short-circuiting portion which constitutes the closed magnetic circuits of the respective coils in cooperation with respective hammers. The permanent magnet is attached to the outside of the short-circuiting portion and the hammer mounting portions at the outer periphery of the base. The printing head is sub-assembled before the attachment of the permanent magnet.

摘要： A printer head of improved design for a dot line printer, for high speed data printout. The printer head features independent magnetic circuits for driving each of the printer needles which form printed dots, with the magnetic circuits acting on armatures carrying the printer stylus, the armatures being mounted on the free ends of leaf springs. The leaf springs can be designed for optimum performance, irrespective of magnetic circuit considerations, and the head assembly is based on a lightweight non-magnetic frame.
