摘要： A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one 1H-pyrrolo[1,2-b][1,2,4]triazole cyan coupler represented by the following general formula (I) or (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents an electron withdrawing group having a Hammett's substituent constant .sigma.p value of 0.20 or more; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may be bonded to form a ring; the sum of a Hammett's substituent constant .sigma.p value of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is 0.65 or more; R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; and X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent capable of being released upon coupling with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; said coupler may be in a form of a bis-compound or a polymer formed at R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 or X; and a cyan image forming method comprising imagewise exposing a silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and subjecting the exposed photographic material to color development with an aromatic primary amine color dveloping agent at the presence of the above-described 1H-pyrrolo[1,2-b][1,2,4]triazole cyan coupler.

摘要： A silver halide color photosensitive material which forms a cyan dye that has superior heat resistance and that will not readily fade in a reducing atmosphere. The silver halide color photosensitive material contains in at least one layer on a support at least one coupler represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen atom or a substituent; R.sup.2 represents a substituent; X represents hydrogen atom or a group releasable on a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of a color developing agent; Z.sup.1 represents a nonmetallic atom group necessary for forming a nitrogen-containing, six-membered, heterocyclic ring which has at least one dissociative group: Z.sup.1 cannot be --C(.dbd.O)--N(R)--C(.dbd.O)--NH--; and R represents a substituent.Also disclosed is a novel dye forming coupler which exhibits a high coupling activity and which gives a dye having a large molar extinction coefficient and superior stability, the coupler being represented by the following formula (XX) or (XXI). Also disclosed is a silver halide color photosensitive material which contains at least one of the dye forming couplers of formulae (XX) and (XXI) and which provides sharp dye images with high fastness properties. ##STR2## wherein EWG represents an electron withdrawing group having a Hammett's .sigma..sub.p value of not less than 0.3; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represent a substituent; and X represents hydrogen atom or a group releasable on a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent.

摘要： The present invention relates to a novel color coupler for photography and a silver halide color photographic material comprising the same, wherein the color coupler is one of the .beta.,.gamma.-unsaturated nitriles represented by formula (I). The invention provides for a color coupler, particularly a cyan coupler, which forms color images less in subsidiary absorption, good in color reproduction, and excellent in fastness, and a silver halide color photographic material having color images as described above. Further the color coupler can be synthesized from inexpensive raw material at a low cost ##STR1## wherein W represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released when the compound is subjected to a coupling reaction with the oxidized product of an aromatic primary amine derivative, R.sub.1 represents a represents a nitrogen atom, R.sub.2 represents a substituent, if V represents ##STR2## R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represent substituent, provided that at least one of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 represents an electron attractive substituent, and provided that if R.sub.2 or R.sub.3 represents an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, the other does not represent an acyl group, and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may bond together to form a ring.
