    • The present invention relates to the domain of video equipment. In particular, the invention relates to a device able to receive packets in a network. The device comprises: means for receiving packets containing samples realised at a period, means for regenerating a ramp by means of a loop that delivers a clock, means for initialising, at every zero-crossing of the ramp, a counter whose rhythm is determined by the clock, means for generating image cues at every zero-crossing of the counter, and means for reconstituting a synchronisation signal from said image cues, means for transmitting the synchronisation signal to an item of remote equipment to be synchronised. According to the invention, the device comprises: means for receiving a return synchronisation signal identical to the synchronisation signal received by the equipment, means for extracting return image cues from the return synchronisation signal, means for transmitting, to the loop, a sum between a sample and a sample of a signal delivered by the image counter, the samples having been realised at a rate set by the return image cues.

A first processing stage enables to perform the operations A−B, C−D, and A+B whereof the results are binary numbers in base two with a redundant binary format, and a borrow-save coding for subtractions and carry-save coding for addition. A second processing stage converts said results into coded binary numbers in base four. A third processing stage enables to perform multiplication (A−B)C, (C−D)B and (A+B)D with a redundant binary format and a borrow-save coding. A last stage comprises two adders for working out the real part (A−B)C+(C−D)B and the imaginary part (A+B)D+(C−D)B in a redundant binary format and a borrow-save coding.

    • The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus and device intended to temporally modulate a sequence of source images with a modulation image comprising at least one anti-copy pattern. According to the invention, it is proposed that the modulation image be generated on the basis of the source image to be modulated in such a way as to place the patterns at locations of the image that may hinder the person watching an illicit copy of the video sequence (filmed for example by a camcorder). The modulation image is for example an image of the secondary contours of the image. The patterns are therefore placed in the low-gradient zones of the source image.
