    • Methods and systems for processing data are disclosed and may include establishing a non-Bluetooth® connection between at least two Bluetooth®-enabled devices utilizing Bluetooth® protocol. Data may be communicated between the at least two Bluetooth®-enabled devices utilizing the established non-Bluetooth® connection. Data may be received via the established non-Bluetooth® connection. The received data may include uncompressed audio data. The established non-Bluetooth® connection may include a local area network (LAN) connection, a personal area network (PAN) connection, a wireless universal serial bus (USB) connection, and/or a wireless ultra-wideband (UWB) connection. The received data may be compressed prior to the communicating. The received data may be compressed utilizing sub-band coding (SBC). The compressed received data may be transmitted via the established non-Bluetooth® connection.

    • Methods and systems for controlling a personal area network access device are disclosed herein and comprise receiving at least one Bluetooth® event by a Bluetooth® device. A line speed used by the Bluetooth® device may be controlled based on the received Bluetooth® event. The line speed utilized by the Bluetooth® device may be dynamically adjusted based on the received Bluetooth® event associated with said Bluetooth device. The line speed may be dynamically adjusted utilizing a line speed algorithm. The line speed algorithm may comprise a variable bit rate coding algorithm. Encoded data may be transmitted by the Bluetooth® device utilizing the line speed. The encoded data may comprise encoded audio data. The line speed may be controlled based on a current line speed of the Bluetooth® device.

    • A method for communication is disclosed and may include dynamically changing the bit-rate of an audio and/or video stream communicated over a Bluetooth connection based on conditions of the Bluetooth connection. A rate at which corresponding audio and/or video samples, for said audio and/or video stream, are encoded for communication via the Bluetooth connection, may be based on Bluetooth piconet event information. The bit-rate of the audio and/or video stream may be dynamically adjusting based on bandwidth of the Bluetooth connection. The bit-rate of the audio and/or video stream may be dynamically increased based on bandwidth of the Bluetooth connection. The bit-rate of the audio and/or video stream may be dynamically decreased based on bandwidth of the Bluetooth connection. The audio and/or video samples may be encoded utilizing a variable bit rate.
