    • The disclosure provides a method for updating an air interface key, a core network node and user equipment. The update method comprises: a core network node receives a relocation indication message, wherein the relocation indication message is configured to indicate that the User Equipment (UE) is about to relocate to a target Radio Network Controller (RNC) from a source RNC (Step S602); the core network node uses the key parameter to calculate a next hop enhanced key (Step S604); and then the core network node sends the next hop enhanced key to the target RNC (Step S606). Through the disclosure, the forward security of the user is guaranteed, and thus the communication security of the radio access system is improved.

    • The disclosure provides a method and a system for establishing an enhanced air interface key. During a serving Radio Network Controller (RNC) relocation process, a target RNC with an enhanced security capability enables a received legacy key to perform security protection on communication in the serving RNC relocation process when the target RNC cannot learn from a relocation request sent by a source RNC whether or not a user equipment supports the enhanced security capability (500); and when the target RNC receives a message from the user equipment and learns that the user equipment supports the enhanced security capability, the target RNC notifies a core network to establish and enable the enhanced air interface keys on the network side and in the user equipment respectively (501). With the method of the disclosure, during the Serving Radio Network Controller (SRNC) relocation of the user equipment in a wireless communication system, when the air interface keys are enabled and the legacy or enhanced user equipment moves between a legacy network and an enhanced network, timely enabling of security keys is achieved with respect to different security capabilities, ensuring normal accomplishment of the relocation process, and therefore ensuring normal proceeding of subsequent communication.

    • A method for updating an air interface key is disclosed in the present invention. The method includes: after a serving radio network controller makes a decision to perform relocation, the serving radio network controller sending key information to a destination radio network controller directly or via a core network node; or the serving radio network controller notifying the core network node to send the key information to the destination radio network controller. The present invention further discloses a system for updating an air interface key, which includes a serving radio network controller and a destination radio network controller; the serving radio network controller is configured to, send key information to the destination radio network controller directly or via a core network node after deciding to perform relocation; or notify the core network node to send the key information after deciding to perform relocation. The present invention can improve the security of the system.
