    • Provided is an air conditioner. The air conditioner includes a case including a suction part, a discharging part disposed in the case to discharge air suctioned through the suction part, a discharge vane disposed at a side of the discharge part, the discharge vane being motionably provided to open or close the discharge part, and an ion generation device disposed inside the discharge vane to generate ions. The ion generation device includes a main body including an electrode structure that includes a discharge electrode and a ground electrode, a coupling part disposed on at least one surface of the main body, the coupling part being coupled to the case, and an ion discharge part disposed on the main body to discharge the ions generated when a high voltage is applied to the electrode structure.
