    • A connector assembly is connected between a motherboard and a backplane. The connector assembly includes a mini serial attached small computer system interface (Mini-SAS) connector, a serial advanced technology attachment (SATA) connector, and a switch unit. The switch unit includes first to fourth single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switches. When poles of the first to fourth SPDT switches are correspondingly connected to first throws of the first to fourth SPDT switches, the Min-SAS connector is connected to the motherboard, and the SATA connector is connected to the backplane. When the poles of the first to fourth SPDT switches are correspondingly connected to second throws of the first to fourth SPDT switches, the Min-SAS connector is connected to the backplane, and the SATA connector is connected to the motherboard.

    • A fan includes a frame, a rotor rotatably mounted in the frame, and a vane. The rotor includes a slot defined in the circumference of the rotor. The slot extends through an end surface of the rotor. The vane forms an installing portion to be inserted into the slot through the end surface. A first base and a second base are formed on the end surface at opposite sides of the slot. A blocking member is pivotably mounted to the first base with a first end, and is detachably engaged with the second base with a second end, to fix the installing portion in the slot.

    • A universal serial bus connector includes a box-shaped shell with a front side open and a number of kernels to be selectively and detachably received in the shell. Four first pins are arranged on an inner surface of a bottom of the shell. Each kernel defines a hole with a fixing piece held therein. Four second pins are arranged on an inner surface of a bottom of the kernel to be respectively connected to the first pins. A number of third pins are arranged on the surface of the fixing piece and respectively coupled to the second pins. When one kernel is housed in the shell, the third pins of the kernel are coupled to the first pins through the second pins, respectively.

    • A mounting device for mounting an expansion card which forms a fixing piece at an end includes a rack and a frame detachably mounted to the rack. The rack defines two spaced recessed portions. Each recessed portion includes two opposite sidewalls and a bottom wall connected between the sidewalls. A resilient member is formed on each of the bottom walls. Two parallel tabs and a connection portion connected between the tabs are formed on the frame. The tabs are respectively received in the recessed portions and each abuts against one of the sidewalls of the corresponding recessed portion. The fixing piece of the expansion card is sandwiched between one of the tabs and the corresponding resilient member.

    • A mounting apparatus for a hard disk drive includes a bracket received in an expansion bay of an electronic device, a resilient latching member, and a connector. The bracket includes two opposite positioning plates and an end plate connected between rear ends of the positioning plates. The bracket defines a receiving space for receiving the hard disk drive.
