    • When a car suffers a collision, a shock is applied to the body of an electrical connection box in the car. The release of the cover from the body is accelerated by a force not absorbed by the deformation of the inverted V-shaped grooves but applied to the body vertically upwardly. Consequently, the effect of the external force applied to the electrical connection box is reduced. As a result of the absorption of the shock, a small degree of force is applied to a junction box or component in the box. Risk of damage to the junction box is reduced and disconnection of wiring from the junction box is unlikely.

    • A fuse box device is provided that includes a fuse box and a fuse unit contained therein. The fuse unit includes an input terminal directly connectable to a battery, several output terminals connectable to a wire harness, and several fuse element portions. One end of the fuse element portions is formed unitarily and in one piece with the input terminal, while the other end of the fuse element portions is formed unitarily and in one piece with the output terminals. The fuse unit is contained in the fuse box such that only the input terminal projects out of the fuse box. In such a construction, the fuse box device requires a reduced number of spare parts, so that production costs can be lowered. Moreover, the fuse box device is better suited to a miniaturization and less susceptible to assembly errors.

    • This invention aims to provide a waterproof casing which can keep its waterproof function under a great change of temperature. In the waterproof casing, a lid (20) which covers an opening in a body (10) is provided with a pipe (24) which intercommunicates an interior and an exterior of the casing. A porous waterproof filter (25) closes a port (24a) in the pipe (24). Air in the body (10) is expanded and contracted under changes in temperature. However, only air can pass through the filter (25) into and out of the body (10) with water being precluded, thereby waterproofing the interior of the casing.
