    • The present invention provides a method of and a system for providing buffer management mechanism in an on-Demand environment to keep the popular content sections in server memory so as to reduce the repeatable disk I/O and improve the server performance. The method comprises: setting the state of a buffer to be ACTIVE when a file section stored in the buffer is requested by any users; setting the state of the buffer to be INACTIVE when users no longer request the file section stored in the buffer, the buffer in INACTIVE state having a lifetime; changing the state of the buffer from INACTIVE to FREE when the lifetime decreases to zero. The system comprises at least one detector for detecting the number of the users requesting a file section stored in the buffer and providing the detection results for a processor, one processor for determining the state of the buffer according to the detection results and providing instructions for at least one state setting unit, and at least one state setting unit for setting the state of the buffer based on instructions from the processor.

    • An exemplary automatic disassembly machine is used for detaching a cover from a main body of a portable electronic device. The cover defines a hole therein. The automatic disassembly machine includes a holder, a mechanical hand, a power source, and a controller. The mechanical hand is fixed on the holder. The mechanical hand has an inserting element, and a positioning element. The inserting element is configured for inserting into the hole of the cover and lifting the cover up from the portable electronic device. The positioning element is configured for positioning the cover. The power source connects to the mechanical hand for driving the mechanical hand. The controller connects to the mechanical hand and the power source for respectively controlling the positioning element and the inserting element to detach the cover from the portable electronic device.

    • According to the present invention, a method of recording and playing compact disk (CD) quality sound signals for a doorbell system is taught. Wave-formatted sound signals are first sourced either from websites or musical instrument generated files or recordings. These sound files are edited into 16 KHz/16 bits or higher resolutions. Optionally, 16 KHz/16 bits or higher sound signals can be tuned with echo effect. Optionally, sound signals are separated into specific segments. Next, the 16 KHz/16 bits or higher tunes are converted into 16 KHz/12 bits or higher binary data. The 16 KHz/12 bits or higher sound signals are embodied into a voice-based microprocessor (1.11). Finally, the 12 bits binary data are played as analog sound signals with the assistance of a built-in digital-to-analog converter (DAC) (1.10) in the microprocessor (1.11). A receiver of a doorbell system embodying the above stated method is also disclosed. The doorbell system can be a wireless or a wired version.
