摘要： In an inkjet printing apparatus capable of automatic duplex printing, time required to fix ink is shortened and throughput is improved without producing uneven fixing. The inkjet printing apparatus includes a printing unit that prints onto a sheet, a fixing unit that heats a sheet printed by the printing unit, a conveying unit that conveys a sheet with respect to the printing unit and the fixing unit, and a controller that controls the conveying unit such that a printing region of a sheet printed on the first side by the printing unit passes through the fixing unit, and afterwards, the conveyance direction of the sheet is reversed in order to print on the second side and the printing region once again passes through the fixing unit. The controller variably controls the conveyance speed of the sheet when the printing region once again passes through the fixing unit.

摘要： A printing medium transport apparatus and method and printing apparatus which is capable of properly transporting a printing medium by the cooperation of two rollers under independent drive without incurring the complication, size increase and price increase of the apparatus. In the course of transporting a sheet by the cooperation of feed and transport rollers, deceleration/stop control is made on feed and transport motors to be respectively driven such that the rollers are simultaneously stopped from rotating. When the transport roller stops from rotating that is located downstream side on a transport path of a printing medium in case the feed roller is rotating that is located upstream side on the transport path, the feed motor driving the feed roller is forcibly stopped.

摘要： An optical disk device for projecting laser light emitted from a laser light source on an optical disk to reproduce information has a support shaft which is disposed nearly parallel with an optical axis of the laser light. The support shaft is fixed on a mount. A lens holder is rotatably disposed around the support shaft and reciprocally movable along the support shaft as well as holding an objective lens for converging the laser light upon a recording plane of the optical disk. The device also includes a tracking drive for energizing the rotation movement of the lens holder, and a focusing drive for energizing the reciprocative movement along the support shaft of the lens holder. An optical path length changing member is provided which has a change region where an optical path length is changed when the laser light is transmitted therethrough and an unchanged region where an optical path length is not changed when the laser light is transmitted therethrough is located closer to the optical disk than the lens holder and rotatably disposed around the support shaft and reciprocally movable along the support shaft. Completing the device is a linking mechanism for variably effecting the engagement or disengagement of the optical path length changing member with the lens holder.

摘要： To solve a problem in which when a surface mounting component to be soldered at a vicinity of an end portion is mounted by soldering, warpage may occurs in a board or the surface mounting component and a distance between the terminal of the board and the terminal of the surface mounting component increases and whereby a connection failure occurs with respect to a connection using the solder. For this purpose, in a mounting structure of the surface mounting component that is configured by connecting the surface mounting component to the board at the vicinity of the end portion by soldering, a concave portion is formed between joint portions for the soldering in a range in which the surface mounting component of the board is mounted. This concave portion is configured so that an influence of deformation due to the warpage of the board or/and the surface mounting component can be reduced by the concave portion.
