摘要： A method for inserting a supplement into a multipage printed product having a back and composed of signatures and/or individual sheets, and being transported with the back oriented parallel to a conveying direction. The multipage printed product is supplied with a signature or an individual sheet projecting from the multipage printed product to define a predetermined separating location between the projecting signature or individual sheet and an adjacent signature or sheet. The multipage printed product is opened at the predetermined separating location and then the opening is expanded. The supplement is thereafter inserted into the expanded separating location.

摘要： The drawroll unit has a heatable galette in which the shaft of the gallette is mounted in bearings which, in turn, are mounted via vibration damping devices in a stationary housing. The vibration damping devices may be in the form of bodies of interlaced wire, O-rings or the like. The vibration damping devices serve to damp vibrations of the shaft in a critical speed range within the normal speed range of the rotor so that the galette can be operated at any speed within the normal speed range.

The arrangement includes a circulating first conveyor with conveying units uniformly spaced-apart to transport horizontally deposited print products that are gathered into loose book blocks and a second conveyor with conveying units uniformly spaced-apart which circulates with synchronized timing with respect to the first conveyor. The second conveyor is assigned to an adhesive-binding machine. The first and the second conveyors are arranged relative to each other so that they present a joint conveying section in which the book blocks are displaceable in a direction transverse to the conveying direction. The arrangement also includes a displacement device arranged to displace the book blocks in the direction transverse to the conveying direction such that the displacement device moves with synchronized timing relative to the first and second conveying units.

A passage is provided throughout the unit to convey a non-flammable scavenging gas through the motor and the godet to reduce the risk of explosion due to sparking by the electric motor and/or other electrical parts of the drawing roller. The gas introduced can leave the unit only through a narrow gap. The pressure of the gas is consequently above atmosphere pressure and prevents the entrance of air.

These devices are driven synchronized with the timing of the book binder clamps for conveying the book blocks.
